His days of mid are over and better as backline general for a young team like suns in the same way Hodge was for the Lions.
Brisbane? Birchall has retired and they had him, and Hodge before that.
 
Used Brisbane as the example for Suns. They need veterans to teach the kids and keep their heads from dropping in games & Hartlett is more a leader type that can do that unlike who they have traded in over the last couple of years. Probably a reason they dropped off at the 2nd half of the season.
 
Not sure if the Giants were interested a few years ago but I really liked him as an option for the club but not now, 31 and it looks like he has slowed down in both pace and decision making and i see the only way he gets another contract is if the 2nd year is coaching if he is interested in going that way
