(With apologies to JR8 Tolkein)

Long had the once great kingdom of Richmond faded from the glories of old, and it's power had shrunk to a mere shadow of what it once was.

Some worried as to it's fate as the land of Collingwood, led by the Evil Eddie spawned forth uncounted numbers their supporters, commonly known as dorcs, upon the land.

Yet, when hope was at it's slimmest, a man known as pushup emerged from hiding in the wild lands known as Coburg, and began accomplishing great deeds.

Eddie's ring had long been lost, and the king of the Nazgul, known as Buckley searched for it high and low, but mostly in the dark places he frequented, but through great quests it fell into the hands of the Richo man, who knew not what it was.

In time, the great wizard Hardwick determined the nature of the loathsome object and say to it that it was taken to a great council at the house of Gale, where it was resolved to return the ring to the foulness that is Victoria Park and destroy it lest it's evil and pollution spread through the world.

A fellowship of 23 came to be formed, led by the wizard Hardwick and accompanied by the pushup, and together they underwent many trials as they journeyed towards Collingwood, and great strength and comradery was gained through the facing of such perils.

Upon the banks of the Yarra, the fellowship was ambushed by e-dorcs, send from the evil wizard Hird from his fastness at windy hill and to defeat these foes the fellowship was forced to separate in the pursuit of their aims, with the pushup first leading in the defeat of the traitor Hird, who had become bent on spreading a foulness akin to that of Eddie.

Through these adventures did the pushup show himself to be a leader of all who were just and noble, and some came to realise that he was, in fact, the King.

As they prepared to return to Richmond and aid against the foulness spewing forth from Collingwood, the pushup heard news that the Corsairs of Carlton were preparing to assail Richmond from the other side. To defeat this, he undertook a perilous journey and summoned the legends of old, led by the Ghost Jim jess who destroyed the bluebaggers utterly.

While this occurred, Eddie started to suspect that his ring was in the hands of the Tiger faithful and unleashed the hordes of dorcs, led by the Nazgul Buckley, who was ever covetous of Eddies's ring to assail Punt Road itself, which was stoutly defended by Hardwick leading the club, though their numbers were few and hope seemed slim.

As the dorcs began to sweep forward, even the statue of Jack Dyer, the faithful members arrived, sweeping down from the MCG and driving the dorcs before them in panic, and the witch king Buckley slain by a woman (his obsession with eddies ring meaning he didn't know how to deal with one) but once more, the numbers weighed against them and the tide began to turn.

Then, when all hope was lost, the pushup arrived, leading the legends of old, strong and bold as ever and slaughtered all the remaining dorcs, and when word reached Eddie of the Return of the King, he knew fear.

Bit worried when I see Jake King start getting some cult status following.

I assume that is what it is. If his name wasnt in the title I wouldnt know what this thread was about.
