With Maccafer gawnn, and kraks gawwn, could we see Jackson Paine slide into the best 22??
Certainly has the size, and is very capable of playing, showing alot thus far in the pre season.
Looks better then dawesy at this moment in time:confused:
Thoughts:thumbsu:

Looked Solid last Night and I could see him Playing RD 1 but I think he will start in the VFL.

I can see him making a Impact this Season though at some time

I think Paine would be a good replacement, more for Macaffer than Krakouer. Caff is a medium forward, rather than Kraks who is the small crumber.

We also need a replacement for Krakouer, I'd be willing to give Elliott a go, most likely not RD 1, but after he's had a few in the VFL. I assume he'd be getting NAB Cup games, but he's got a hammy injury so it would depend on how he's going with that as to when he starts back.

Paine's got strong legs, now when he gets a few more preseasons into him, and more muscle in the rest of his body, he will be a force IMO.

I doubt Elliot will be Ready for RD 1 as has been Injured. For Krakouer I be more looking at Ugle at the moment. Yes Ugle's kicking was not Great last Night but he got into some Dangerous Positions. Ugle looked to be Rushed and not use to the Pace.

Forward line:

Sidebottom - Cloke - Beams
Didak - Dawes - Blair

Swan, Thomas, Pendles, Jolly, Wood, Ball, Wellingham rotating.

All far superior to the above mentioned, why change it?

Sidebottom and Beams will be Pushed into the Midfield

Paine's most like-for-like on the list is Macaffer, so much so that I am not sure they will be able to play in the same forward line too often.

Don't mind him as a third marking forward, but he seems a little slow to be a real effective third tall. Should get stronger in a contest though, which will mitigate this weakness to some degree, however.

I would not Call Paine Slow - Though you want someone around the 185-188cm person for the 3rd Tall that would be Quicker

Please be joking.

Haha, agreed. Jonathon Brown comparisons are crazy... Remember Billy Morrison?

More of an Aaron Hamill type in my opinion. Not KPP tall (I don't care who says he is 194cm, he is clearly around 191cm), but strong, and throws himself at the ball and the man.

Projects as a useful third tall.

Highlighted players currently have injuries or niggles, therefore we have no idea what their current status is in regards to Round 1.

I wouldn't mind seeing Paine in there, and after watching him play it doesn't faze me should he get a chance.

great highlight work i wonder where you saw that...

It looks like Bucks sees Rounds as a forward pocket option this year.

Paine is capable - been saying that since he was drafted. He is built like a man and is ready to play.

Not best 22 at this stage, but can certainly play this year if we want to bring an extra big into our forwardline. Has the ability to play a role and be an extra marking target up forward if we are looking for a 3rd tall to play with Cloke + Dawes.
