How many people are going to miss out in this game?
If it were at the MCG or Telstra, maybe 45,000 would go. So up to 30,000 will miss out.
Surely it should be played in Melbourne.

This, fellow Hawk fans, shows how we cannot have our cake and eat it too.

There was complaint after complaint for a month about Pies V Hawks not being moved, yet many of the same Hawk fans seem happy to accept that a game like this (2 V 3) is not even played in the right state.

Strange.

Dude ... it was 'YOUR CLUB' that SOLD their home games to Tasmania for money...... blame HAWTHORN.

who in hell would have predicted these teams be top 4 material at the end of last year... Hawks were expected to finish middle range and kangas bottom half... I think your being a bit harsh on the AFL with this one!

This game has as much chance of being moved to the MCG as the next Superbowl!!!

Hawks deal with Tassie $$$$$ means that I will NOT be moved~!~! how would the hawks tassie members feel if they lost a game???? Given our slight drop in form I am sure the players and coaching staff will be happy to head to the "House of Pain" this week.

Foxsports will get the job done on Sunday, a couple of beers in the trackie dacks... looking forward to it

Exactly - regardless of dollars - we simply should not be playing games against Victorian based clubs away from our home state. No-one was to know how well Geelong and the Kangaroos were to perform this year - but past attendances against these clubs do not justify selling the games to Tasmania.

hawks and kangas could be runaway top of the ladder and it wouldn't get 50,000 at either the G or TD, even if both sets of members could come in

its just business sense to move this one to tassie, we know the AFL don't reschedule fixtures so once this was in it was in.

i don't think there's any hypocrisy in terms of accepting this fixture and not accepting the collingwood one, this is the AFL, its built on hypocrisy and double standards.

18K in Tasmanina makes more $ than 35/40K + at the Dome

Remind me of the crowd figure at the Kangaroos-Melbourne game yesterday.

18k north fans. Would expect 10k to go to an away game at least, we had about that number turn out to the Richmond home twilight game on a sunday and we do not draw well on sundays. There were enough north people at the Richmond game to be queuing up all through the first quarter of the game. TD didn't anticipate that turnout by our supporters.
