Agreed and they’d no doubt be pulling at his heartstrings but I don’t think it will be enough.Yep.

Bulldogs and Saints will chuck dollar bills all over the joint.I forgot to add that who apart from Hawthorn who play on the MCG would have the $$$ to pay Coniglio? Collingwood, Essendon, Richmond I wouldn’t think would have the cap space so that would leave Hawthorn and Melbourne.

I’ve been to a few GWS home games and the majority of that 10k are tickets that have been given away through business etc. The majority of the time 60%-70% of the fans are opposition fans and as the home team that would sux a big donkeys d**k.He's playing in front of circa 10k a week. That ain't gonna change the whole time he stays at GWS. It has to play on his mind.

Whilst we chuck hundreds?Bulldogs and Saints will chuck dollar bills all over the joint.
One that got my interest the other day watching Matt Walkers clip on indigenous round was the mention of Jeremy Finlayson as a fellow Yorta Yorta man (as well as Jars & Walks).
At 23 he is out of contract next year, 196cm can play back and forward and is averaging 2.3 goals a game this year (couple of bags of 5). Would compliment Mitch Lewis nicely.
Shopped around last year too I believe.

Plus GWS don't play the G well and Cameron is still coach there next year. He's playing in front of circa 10k a week. That ain't gonna change the whole time he stays at GWS. It has to play on his mind.
So it's Hawthorn. Excellent.Yep.
It's GWS or Hawthorn

Meanwhile over here at Hawthorn we've got Clarko for three more years, play SOME home games at the G ON GORGEOUS SUNDAY AFTERNOONS LEAVING HIM WITH A FREE SATURDAY, win someone of them even And have Jaeger and Tom at the club
So it's Hawthorn. Excellent.
The third option goes to top and you’re on the money. The Coniglio situation from what I can see is a different kettle of fish due to a number of factors:
- Clarko
- JOM, Tom and likely Patton
- Off field business opportunities
- Playing on the MCG
Think of the fashion festivals he can go to with JOM!
Shiel has been covered one thousand times on here, and had we really wanted to pay the asking fee from GWS, he’d be in brown and gold.
He may go back west too.Its GWS or Hawthorn for Cogs...
He either chooses to stay loyal or comes to Melbourne for a thousand good football and non-football reasons...
The longer the silence from Cogs the better
Don’t think there would be much tbh....Imagine the melts when Cogs chooses Hawks on less than $1m per year.....

We’re not seen as a threat by anyone and rightly so
Coniglio would know this as well which is why I’m not to concerned with our final ladder position this season.Adding Coniglio plus Mitchell coming back instantly makes us a threat next year. That’s 2 of the leagues top 10 midfielders.
Disposals, contested possessions, clearances, tackles and inside 50 would all go up significantly next year. Just think of what Worpel and Cousins can potentially do next year with Coniglio and Mitchell by their side.

My mail is that is NOT happening. He may go back west too.
Also while deals, targets and plans are being put a long way out and some are done deals well before trade/fa period (Franklin, Hill, Mitchell, O'meara) some players will wait till the end of season to field offers and make up thier mind.
Lynch was apparently very temped by Collingwood despite Richmond being certain they had him months before. He was undecided until just before free agency and also spoke to us during that time.
Shiel was halfway through trade week before declaring his club in fact still taking meetings during trade period. Some say he preferred hawthorn but deal couldn't be done so he met with Carlton and Essendon.
Cogs may wait till the end of the year, and decide to stay, or go to another club even if currently our offer is best and wants to. He may win a brownlow and norm Smith he may drop in form so much that could change how the 18 clubs value him and where he would like to play next year.
Nonsense.Don’t think there would be much tbh....
