You forgot about Shaun Burgoyne & Jordan Lewis.. Not to mention did you see that goal Carl Peterson kicked; that put him in the top 10 best for me.

Ablett doesn't do the hard bullocking work in the centre square. He's a rover in the same way that Marc Murphy is a rover. Not a player renowned for getting first hands on the ball in the centre, etc.

Bias is not involved in the making of this thread.

Why can we not rate Ablett if he doesn't get the number 1 tag each week, but Hodge can be the best in the comp and not get the #1 tag?

I would say that he is closer in ability, form, and leadership to Carey than Brendan Goddard. Much closer. Goddard is like Bouvet Island compared to Pav's just down the road.

Premierships won is the most seriously overated stat there is when assessing a players individual ability.
