Hodge has done so much more than Ball over his career it isn't funny. Ball can't kick to save his life, is always getting injured and to say he is gutsier and more in-and-under is laughable, just look at Hodge's clearance rate and contested possessions from last year compared to Balls.

Ball is more an in and under type, very clean hands, good endurance and fearless (sometimes to his detriment) Hodge is more versatile, can play CHB, midfield or fwd, depending on the needs of the team, can hit a fwd inside 50 lace out from half back, and can win a game when shifted into the midfield as he did against Geelong last week.

On his day he's better than Judd.

Stevo doesn't make Hodge any less of a pack-watching wide receiver. He is a damn good HB Flanker though, don't get me wrong.

ball is one you would class 'ultra reliable ball magnet' only problem is that he is constantly injured and can't kick over a jam tin.
