Each would only be good for about 10 - 15 games a year. Ball because of injury, Hodge the tribunal.
Give me a gutsy, in-and-under, on-field leading midfield type, over a hot-headed, selfish, soft receiving outside HBF any day.
Ball for me.

Hodge can only get a kick when he is loose. Typical lurker. To think he was taken over Ball and Judd. WTF Hawthorn?

Lol don't think any of you have actually watched a Hawthorn game.
Hodge has done so much more than Ball over his career it isn't funny. Ball can't kick to save his life, is always getting injured and to say he is gutsier and more in-and-under is laughable, just look at Hodge's clearance rate and contested possessions from last year compared to Balls.

Hodge. Purely because he can kick it 65metres and accurately. Ball cant even kick 50m anymore.

CANT BELIEVE WHAT I AM READING , BALL OVER HODGE !!!!!!! HODGE IS A PLAYER THAT BALL WISHES HE WAS ..... LUKE HODGE IS A VERY VERY GOOD PLAYER , PUT HIM IN MY TEAM ANY DAY ...

Can someone please tell me what aspect of the game Ball is acutally better at then Hodge, apart from getting injured?

Ball is more an in and under type, very clean hands, good endurance and fearless (sometimes to his detriment) Hodge is more versatile, can play CHB, midfield or fwd, depending on the needs of the team, can hit a fwd inside 50 lace out from half back, and can win a game when shifted into the midfield as he did against Geelong last week.

On his day he's better than Judd.

On Judds day he has 38 possessions and 4 goals.... if Hodgey ever achieves that I will drink 24 beers in 2 hours

I'm being biased here, Ball for me!

HO(E)-dge is a F***ING MUTT that needs to be put down for the benifit of all player!

Why say something like this when you obviously have a love affair with Nick Stevens. Very very funny and damn ironic.
