Surely there must be some advantage to us on Saturday? The crowd is gonna be off the chain, chanting some absolute vitriol towards our opposition; I don't think Australia has seen an AFL crowd come this Saturday, so charged up on the eve of making history comrades.
Surely Sydney players will hear and no doubt almost feel our passion and voice come Saturday.

Fire up, can't ****in wait!!

I just want every Freo supporter at the ground to scream their collective lungs out and show the rest of Australia how loud and passionate we are.

I remember James Hird saying after a Bombers/Freo game at Subi that we (Freo) were the loudest crowd he'd ever heard...let's have a repeat performance.

I have a feeling my voice will be gone by quarter time, if it's still close in the last quarter I'd back our crowd in to lift the boys over the line. I already have goosebumps about thinking of the reception they'll get as they run onto the ground.

"Home ground advantage is a myth" - Ross Lyon
I think with difference sized grounds australian rules actually is the sport where there is most likely one...

Don't think the crowd has so much influence on players, at least once they are used to it, probably at latest after a couple of years...

I actually agree with you but only where the ground is unusual in shape/size. Hawthorn play well at Aurora, Sydney at SCG, Geelong at Simmonds etc.

Of course we will have an advantage. Cats also had an advantage, which we overcame. We will have to be switched on but if the chips are down and we need a boost the crowd will be a huge factor in turning the tide.

Two sleeps biatches!!

Yeah it is not so much to do with the players. It is the umpires who can and are influenced. But even the players, especially young guys.
