Vic How would you rate Daniel Andrews' performance as Victorian Premier? - Part 4

Absolute rubbish - any fair chart would start from March last year when the HQ programs started in Aus.
That chart would still be fair. The cases number is the number of positives inside the HQ I think, not the number of cases caused by the breaches, so if you added in the earlier hq **** up it is one breach only.
On that data shown it still shows vic underperforming relative to other states.

Get a grip of yourself. You're so full of hate, its turned into delusion. This conspiracy nonsence is no different from Qanon or Trump supporters claiming that they won the election.

I’ll give you a rundown on Victoria.
95% can’t stand Dan. Some have come over to reality more recently.
4% still love him as it’s too late to go back and need to save face.
1% don’t care either way.

Andrews revived a State left on life support by the Liberals.

Through much-needed infrastructure works which not only involved expenditure on roads, public transport, tourism assets, hospitals, but which was accompanied by a building boom creating hundreds of thousands of jobs. The State is the fastest growing and is on track to be the largest in the next decade.

The State has been the leader in reformative legislation like Voluntary Assisted Dying, which other states are now following, and other progressive reforms in family violence, public health, mental health, gender equality, disability et al

That is d o i n g.

To make it simple for you, I couldn't give a phark about his time at uni. I care about what he's been doing while his hands are on the levers.

Now toddle off to your primary source sauce Wikipedia.

This, i've got staunch liberal mates, who will still vote liberal but have acknowledged that Dan has actually done things.

Hilarious date to start from - right as Dan's second wave ended. Is this chart prepared by the ALP?
It is also doesn’t mention the fact Victoria has only had hotel quarantine up and running for less than half that period whilst the other states never stopped.

Man, are you both really this dense? You could take the date back to mid-July or shift it forward to early-December and the Victorian numbers wouldn't change at all. And if you took it all the way back to the start of the pandemic Victoria's breaches per cases numbers would most likely improve significantly.

Just to be clear, the chart is from from the covidlive.com.au site. If anything, it was made in defence of the NSW hotel quarantine system, explaining that they've had more breaches because they take in lots more people. The guy who runs the site is purely interested in data, he's never really shown any signs of being politically aligned on Twitter. He constantly criticised DHHS last year during the lockdown for either not releasing or not keeping data that he thought was valuable, and most of the improvements they made in the reporting of their data late last year has been the stuff that he was pushing them for. Lately he kept pushing NSW Health to release daily vaccination numbers and it seems like they're now doing so. And currently he's trying to get the federal government to disclose how many people are partially vaccinated vs fully vaccinated.

Wow hit a nerve with the fanboi. Yeah hes done all the really important stuff like a pride centre, injection rooms, legal aid for refugees, massive pay rise for MPs and public servants etc.

Infrastructure? Who can forget the obscene amounts spent by the ALP on an absurd desal plant.

Toddle off back to you crayons and origami.

I don't think we will hear from Ms Cassar this time after her blunder of a press conference over the Nebuliser issue.

First Andrews said the bloke had used his Nebuliser without permission - causing the outbreak. It soon became clear that the Vic health authorities had approved his use of the Nebuliser.

Now it emerges that it was a **** up by the Vic health authorities where a hotel quarantine inmate was tested in a corridor. The Nebuliser guy probably contracted a potentially life threatening illness from this **** up and was falsely made a scapegoat for the Vic government incompetencies.

Emma Cassar has been sitting on this information for weeks without disclosing it. She has to go.

Andrews is quite good at surrounding himself with people just a little bit less capable and more incompetent than him, Cassar is surely safe for that reason if nothing else.

You post irrelevant prattle from Wikipedia  relating to Andrews Uni days which, in some sort of incoherent way, is meant to show Andrews was doing little as Premier. After being done over you to revert to type with a pathetic look-over-here sophomoric riposte. Run along little fella.

I find it remarkable that the guy who was obsessed with personally conducting hundreds of press conferences day on day hasn't fronted for one zoom or skype call since his alleged accident at a mystery location.

Cassar might be safe because we don't have a functional government leadership to sack her.

At some point there will be an investigation into Victorian government contracts to the hotels. In March it was reported that the Andrews government had entered into 12-month contracts with hotels, transport services and health providers worth $377 million to run a program that was housing zero returned travellers.

The Grand Chancellor in Melbourne CBD was recruited by CQV to host guests in January but was released from its contract in April because its ventilation was deemed unacceptable. The hotel received several million dollars without hosting a single returned traveller.

The Andrews Government gave more than $500,000 to a Chinese-owned resort as part of its bungled hotel quarantine program, but it never housed a single returned traveller. The Sands Golf Resort Torquay received payment from the state government for 55 rooms costing $150 per room a night between March 29 and May 29, with taxpayers footing the $511,500 bill.

I’ll admit I was wrong. I thought it was something else, but a more recent explanation showed what the data actually was.

It’s funny to see Cath saying Danny has invested in hospitals and how good the health system is given the recent complaints of the disaster it actually is.
Who is Cath?
And yes speaking from the inside the public ED it is a mess. But it is a mess from population growth and increased patient expectations, as well as increased paperwork for “national standards” which delay actual nursing care.

I had honestly forgotten about that until uou mentioned it.

Talk about inter-generational gripes. You must really be desperate if you're cracking open the history books. At least it was this milenia I suppose.

Epstein is slimy and disingenuous (there's a surprise).
He lived through our lockdowns and knows there is no comparison between the suffering victorians endured vs anywhere else in aus - regardless of the numeric amount of breaches.
He also knows NSW has taken by far the most travelers and that Vic didn't take travelers for many months in that period.

But no- Epstein is no longer personally affected so its back to playing politics for the shapeshifter.

you asked for a chart that was from an earlier starting point. I’m not surprised by the response though.

“the gold standard” has had more HQ breaches. But we won’t get into playing politics …right.

How many breaches per return traveler taken?
How many cases resultant per breach?
How many deaths per breach?
How many deaths / cases total over this pandemic?
How many days lockdown per breach?
How widespread was each lockdown (local gov area, entire city, entire state etc)?'

You surely cant have lived through last year in Victoria (not saying you did) and defend our hq system.

What makes NSW the 'gold standard' as it were is there ability to manage outbreaks without shutting down an entire city or state, due in part to excellent contact tracing and mature health leadership.
