I don't know many cops, but I do know one who recently signed up - he has multiple bachelor degrees and an IQ of over 150. Said most of his cohort are uni grads.

I’m no fan of Dan I actually think he is a flog but the one good thing about him is that he gets under the skin of Credlin Panahi Elsworth Mitchell and for that it is brilliant

I think where Gladys f’ed up is hubris. When those first cases of Delta hit Sydney, she was too soft. It wasn't until it reached the West/Southwest that she got serious about it.

At this point, she's doing the right thing for the most part - but in a far less accountable way than Dan and Brett down in VIC. I mean she literally just said "I'm not doing press conferences anymore unless I feel like it" a couple weeks back. Its really poor leadership.

You might not like Dan, though obviously the vast majority of Victorians very much do like him, but at a bare minimum I would like to think most people in Victoria appreciate that he fronts up to answer every question every single day.

I admire him for that, he gives zero hope though.

NSW defeated multiple Alpha outbreaks without locking down. Vic didn't.

Both states look to have similar outcomes from Delta.

I agree there was some Hubris. There is no doubt people from NSW have responded to her leadership by getting jabbed. I honestly cannot see how Victoria can reach 70% and 80% dd and then 80% dd 12+ in the time frames proposed by Dan Andrews. The 70% sd already delayed by 5 days. Why is he setting stretch targets? Sydney's 70%dd now on track to be 2 weeks sooner that originally predicted.

I am not sure he understands that its the little things that matter.

I'm not twisting a narrative mate. This is what atagi states themselves. Pretty clearly on their website as well. If anyone dies who has been vaccinated, there death is investigated (death from a health issue that is, not a car accident etc). So unless you're a full blown conspiracy nutter, your clearly spreading information.

To go another route, there has been 94,000 cases of covid in Australia for 1200 deaths. So even if you as you seem to imply, these deaths are rigged... Say 1199 of these deaths are rigged, over 99. 9% of the deaths are rigged. Well then the death rate for covid is 1 in 94,000 compared to 1 in 2.8 million per vaccine dose.

Also, who is you people?

I don't wanna diminish the death of those that have passed, so I won't go into that discussion much further, but for the sake of argument I accept your statements.

I mean the big picture here is that we all should have been getting our jabs at the start of the year, and this whole 2021 lockdown could have been avoided in every state. I actually resent that I know so much about state premiers right now. They're meant to be ignored, not listened to every day.

Thing is, any person in the USA can go and get vaccinated tomorrow if they want to.

Once it is available to that extent (and it isn't yet here) then you may as well reopen. Mississipi isn't known for a high level of education or self-preservation and the fact is a lot of anti-vaxxers are going to die over the next five years, but we can't stay in lockdown for them.

There was shitloads who didn't volunteer for a wide variety of reasons. It wouldn't have been that uncommon. Most signed up because they were poor and uneducated and wanted adventure, not social pressure.

I'd say a large portion of Victorians are sick of Andrews so probably a lag in getting vaccinated, or maybe the longer it goes on people are having a change of mind? Could be many factors.

I find it funny that even though the first target of vaccinations have been reached, delayed by a few days though, they aren't willing to budge to at least give a little thanks to those that have been vaccinated. Imagine how happy people would be if they come out and say, well we're a few % off hitting that target but we're going to ease the restrictions as a thanks to those that have gone out and give some hope back.
