I've moved the public vs private school discussion to its own thread

I’ve booked into a GP for an AZ booster. Is this even possible? Do they still have AZ?
My Mother's (who is immunocompromised and not doing so well physically) doctor refused to give her Pfizer vaccine as her booster. She refused to leave until she was vaccinated so they gave her AZ instead which was what her 1st and 2nd shots were. I hope it's up to the task

Yeah looks like AZ is reserved for the immunocompromised. A mate booked in to AZ and was told it’ll be pfizer or moderna

I don't watch the press conference & i'm far from a fan of Dan and his government, but this did make me chuckle :)

This annoys me slightly. He only changed the eligibility criteria last week. It's not like people can drop everything to get vaccinated.

I was on the waiting list at the pharmacy. They called me up only yesterday for an appointment tomorrow.

There are also probably 500k who have got Covid in the last 2-3 weeks who aren't going to rush out and get the booster immediately no matter how much you say they should be getting it quickly.

He’s certainly changed his tune. I think once zero was off the table he stopped giving a fu** and was ok with people dying as long as a decent proportion of them were unvaccinated.
How did you deal with people dying before covid?

But for the unfortunate emergence of COVID and resulting need for a leader with an appetite for limiting freedoms, Andrews would arguably be the worst Premier Vic has had. He’s created little, wasted plenty.

One of the very few things I agree with DA on, other than necessarily, albeit temporary, limiting of freedoms during height of this pandemic, is his statement that John Cain is responsible for much that is good in Victoria. Pity Dan isn’t more like his hero.
One major reason he smashed it at the last election was that every suburban, city and rural worker going to/from the city and/or across town or along country roads in a car, train, bus or tram got to see at least twice every single day all that enormous "little" he had created in the form of roads, bridges, railway lines/stations and level crossing works, among other things.
The whole suburban area was a billboard for his government.

Time to head back to your LNP bosses and tell them it's time to get real, they need some less demonstrably ridiculous talking points.

His popularity is still high. Do you think the public that have endured 2 years of lockdowns look at an overpass and think "Dan is great"?

I think it has more to do with an impotent opposition tbh.

It was the last election which made them impotent.
And they're not just looking at the overpass, they're driving over it and saving 20 minutes travelling time each day.

A Victorian who stands up against the nsw establishment will always be popular.

it also helps when the alleged Victorian wing of the libs are full of simps for the deeply unpopular and corrupt gladys and the deeply unpopular and courrpt scotty from marketing.

Add in State pride and infrastructure works its easy to see.

Was tongue in cheek to the western Australians mate.
Lefties are characterised by their lack of and inability to recognise humour. They are simply here to seek out those straying from the progressive narrative and correct their thinking 🙂

Gladys was popular.

ScoMo was popular enough to win the last election, and still 50/50 for the next.

In terms of state pride, the only Premier in recent history who garnered respect was Jeff. Removal of railway crossings is convenient but meh in the bigger scheme of things.

Popular in nsw not Victoria, Gladys is despised in the state of Victoria, and scotty might as well be public enemy number 1 in this state. Libs would be better off not being nsw simps.

Jeffy boy is hated among quite a lot of people.

Dan, his billboards, and his Chinese project affiliations. He’s different is our Dan. It’s no wonder the Feds have had to step in. Btw I don’t have boss/s.
