20 trains per hour would be near impossible without things like CBTC and an increase of rolling stock.
Even then you're not seeing it during off peak. The best you might see is 6 tph which is fine.

Could have something to do with all the sport that goes on in there, the pedestrian traffic, the dogs, etc. Over a weekend in summer, there are never any less than 6 games of cricket going on at any given time, and in the morning that's mostly kids.

I noticed CityLink which is 80 and often littered with cops was able to safely raise the speed limit to 100 when they felt like it and no major accidents occurred.

It’s both. I know for a fact highway patrol get given fine targets. But you’re equally an idiot for speeding. With all the signs and GPS warnings now, there’s no excuses.

Yep, those slow campaigners in the right lane are a bigger issue than people doing 10km over the limit. Usually after you’ve been stuck behind one you’re more likely to go even faster in frustration.

But once you know the location of fixed cameras and know the cops won’t pull you over unless over a certain speed then you’re very safe.

Although having someone slow down to 40 in a 100 zone for a cop car parked on the side of the road without its lights on is ****ing annoying!

Unless there are known speed cameras generally the right lane is 5-10 over the limit. You could put police at random spots every day on every highway and stop speeding with a month or 2

Except the police won’t pull over those people, they’re only interested in the people really speeding.

I’m okay with it. People who habitually exceed speed limits need to be taken off the roads though
