He can't be said to have majority support when the majority of respondents either oppose or are undecided. That's a position that The Guardian/Essential have also reached today, and also historically in reporting Essential Report polls. Take it up with them.

In any event, it's a pretty dud question. The cancellation of the Games isn't the issue. The Commonwealth Games as policy is the issue from start to yet to finish. No question on that which is a shame.
