Ahhhh I smell lawyers.....

If your reversing causes the front of your car to veer onto the opposite side of the road when a person is overtaking you, then technically you merged without giving way and might be in the wrong. Morally, it's a dick move by the other guy.
If my car hasn't crossed the centre line but the other car does and hits me, that's what I'm curious about.
It hasn't happened, I'm just hypothesising.
Back on theme - bloody impatient drivers!!

You can't cross an unbroken centre line unless you are turning into a street or driveway. If they cross an unbroken line to overtake, they are in the wrong

I hate the fact that driving on the speed limit in Melbourne is apparently too slow for other drivers, resulting in constant tail-gating.
This isn't limited to Melbourne and agree, bloody frustrating. Even more so when someone overtakes you when yr doing the speed limit and they then pull in front and slow down and all of a sudden you're tail gating

There was a write up in the Sun about this the other day. Apparently it's an offence to pull in front of someone without leaving enough distance for them to brake safely.

Hmm, Had something very similar happen to me around 10 years ago and they brakes so hard that I ended up hitting them in the rear end. I suspect they were drunk as they didn't even bother stopping. I reported the accident to the cops straight away and heard nothing for a few months when all of a sudden my insurance company contacted me regarding a claim for that same accident. Apparently I was still in the wrong because I hit the car from behind. I was so pissed off!

There was no damage to my Prado as it was a little tap and I suspect they may have damaged their car in later events and used this incident. Still pisses me off as this is my only accident

Yep go into the rear of someone and your automatically at fault.

Sounds like a colossal dick move with a cup of insurance fraud thrown in for good measure.

Oh! My hate is drivers who drive down freeway on ramps at 80... you morons you're meant to merge at 100, the same speed as the oncoming traffic!

I hate having to pull out in front of a car going 25-30 kms faster than me because of these idiots.

Ahh road rules........I vaguely remember the concept.
I often wonder how long it is going to take for me to readjust when I return. Probably my first ticket will do the trick.
I still remember looking out the window watching a lady park in a space that was way too small for her car.
Unless of course you're going to touch park in both directions!

Is this the place to vent about spouses? Breakfast conversation this morning, while reading a newspaper article about Carlton:

Me: Sadly, I think Carlton might finally have a decent coach.
Spouse: Why do you say that?
Me: I haven't finished enjoying their utter crapness yet. I want it to continue indefinitely.
Spouse: Haven't they suffered enough?

What kind of monster have I married?

Checked out a few Dutch cookies in Amsterdam, can't remember much else...

Don't worry VP, the putrid Carlton culture will break him down and spit him out. Will be lucky to coach there for two years.

Thanks for the reassuring post Jmac. I've grown so used to their putridness, it's hard to let go.

If ever there were grounds for divorce then this is it.
Your a strong woman VP, there is no reason whatsoever that you need to put up with such rubbish.
