I'm stepping down

Just wanted to let you all know that I am relinquishing all of my moderator responsibilities on BigFooty.

I've adapted over the years from being a mate, a counselor, a disciplinarian and an organiser. I make no apologies for being any of those, but I think my habit of trying to right wrongs and arguing the point, is to my detriment at times.

I find it hard to let this go but I feel I have to. I won't be posting a lot over the coming days/weeks as it will be a real identity crisis for me coming in here and it not being on the job.

Sorry, it's a real feeble attempt to explain it but I think BF as a whole is ready for one of the old stagers to fade away.

You are a great bunch of people, full of fun and character. I am going to miss you all.

Seriously, in my short time here, you've always had an informed opinion and been fair in your moderation skills, so take care TODN

EDIT: though, it sucks to see you leaving at a time that the Blues are on the rise, and we know with that, will come the 100's of rival supporters threads about how we are cheating the cap, rorting the system, etc etc....im Sure you would have had fun banning those people!

I'm confused, are you just giving up your "day job" but will still be posting on BF or are you leaving BF altogether?

Either way I am dissapointed to say the least. If you a just giving up your modship, then I can only say we will be poorer for it. Your ability to construct argument certainly helped keep the flogs at bay. There will be other posters on here who will be able to sing your praises in a much finer tone than I have.

However, if you are leaving BF altogether, then just wow. I dare say you will be giving Thy a run for his money in the popularity stakes when it comes to the sentiments that will be directed your way.

As I said above, there will be plenty more posters who will do a much better job praising you and your work and if you are leaving BF altogether, please check your avatar at the door.

Just a fantastic effort from yourself ODN over the last 8+ years, and you should be really proud of how the Carlton Board is now functioning - much of it has been from your own doing.

Been a pleasure to work with you over the past year as a mod, and all of those years before hand. A bit has been written about my "2 year sabatical" off BF, but yourself, and Bee for that matter, have always been a constant around here.

You'll be greatly missed.

Sad to see you stepping down mate. It's going to be very awkward not seeing your name in bold...

I still remember the times when I was under your wing as a co-mod, ah, those were the days. Fought many battles alongside you back during the "dark" times, it was great. You've been a great cornerstone of the Carlton board and BF in general, and both will definitely miss your experience and modding wit. You're the founding father of this board, and without your work, it would not have been as successful as it is now.

Good luck with whatever future endeavours you may have.

I have seen how this board has progressed since I came here and whilst I would love to take credit for that () it has largely been because of you.
