Sorry meant Thomas & Keeffe. Both would be very handy from a depth perspective right now!

Very much so. Their absence his hurting the team now.

I fear freeman will never be the jet we drafted. Is it possible he will never hit the top speeds he was known for? Without it he will have to remodel his game.

To make the 8 this year we need to win a total of 13 games, which is five from our remaining seven.

Thank god we don't have very hard games coming up in the next three weeks or our season could be over just like that. The dogs is a 50/50 one and the following two are piss easy.

I just hope we can get the next three wins and I don't care how we do it. Then head up to Sydney with Cloke and Elliot back, Adams will be back by then and Greenwood would have had a month to get in to it.

Just hoping we don't get many more key injuries.

I am no expert on this topic but I know many world class sprinters do hammies and it doesn't effect them long term so I am still hopeful that this injury will not effect him too badly long term.
Having said that it is the first time I have seen a hammy wipe off 2 years.

I think the Dogs are clear favourites and I see the Melbourne game as 50/50. We are tiring and injuries are starting to build. If we lose on Sunday it will be finals over.

I would have thought so too but I had a look at the odds yesterday and the bookies have us as clear favourites. Surprised me a little considering injuries and form.

I know who I will be picking.

I was going to say that I'm happy to play the kids to develop them further but we have little choice really anyway.

I'm not worried if we miss finals. It is what it is and gives us direction for the trade and draft period to look at key areas to fix. A lower draft pick won't hurt our chances going into the silly season, might be the difference to lure someone we need.

Yeah the Dogs are clear favourites, I never bet against the Pies but it's tempting.

At least I would be able to spend the winnings on grog if we lose and drink those sorrows away.

Even with a loss this week, finals are still 100% there. We'll beat Blues & Dees the following 2 weeks, hit some form, key players back then Sydney who we've always had the wood over + they are not going too great atm. Upset them and then both Tigers & Cats are 50/50's, win 1 of them then Bombers in final round which should be piece of cake. That would get us to 13 wins meaning finals. I also think 12 wins will get us finals with our good % if we can maintain it.

I would guess that short/medium term would be 2 to 4 weeks, but i agree it is annoyingly vague.I would much rather the club give estimates in weeks rather than this short, meduim, long term business.

Just been reading through this thread and thought I'd pop my two cents in.

Drafted Hawk's info seems to be pretty bang on the money with what I've heard. Broomhead is due to miss 10 weeks minimum after seeing a specialist.

From there he still might require a reconstruction if it doesn't heal properly which does seem at odds with the initial diagnosis/ information that came out of the club...

Yep.. he was right with Abbott and Broomhead before the club announced it...

Dogs by forty plus points. We are not even a sniff in my humble opinion. I hope to have my opinion mocked post Sunday. I feel we will look tired and be run off our feet. I think back to that NAB cup game and I shudder.

Adams, Cloke and Elliott are massive outs from our best side. It's hard to see where our goals will come from. Only hope is to keep them to a low score.

Bucks just said Elliott is indefinite..
won't play this week or next...

Awesome..
Said this the other day, if we're dealing with stress fractures in his vertebrae(s) we won't see him for the rest of the year.
