Grover??? Why???

Matt Carr smashed Embley in the Derby.Peake i thought was pretty good.

I would love to see just one change this week.

McPharlin in for Murphy.

Thought everyone played pretty well in the derby. In the firing line is the obvious guy duffman but i still think he doesnt deserve to be dropped. No one should be a walk up starter, spots should be earned. Maybe solly will be unlucky this week. Although Black wasnt at his best, still giving away 50's

I just thought I read that Grover had a 'bruised buttock' or something like that. I'm not saying he should be dropped, definitely not.

GJ, we thumped Carlton last year to the tune of 80 points or so. That was Connolly's last win as coach. So it does happen, but I agree that we rarely 'put teams away.'

I've been watching the tape of the derby and I haven't noticed Peake's awful disposal yet (I've only rewatched the first half).

My pal Mundy was excellent. You can see which players have good foot skills when the ball is a little wet. Mundy hits a target almost every time and he can kick a goal from 50. Also, you might have noticed that he laid a couple of strong tackles and some decent spoils. Some of the criticism of Mundy has been well founded (in terms of his hardness at the contest) but those who thought he should be dropped were way off. In fact, he's played 2 rippers out of 3 games.

You can't give M. Carr the credit for Embley being shite. A poorer Norm Smith Medallist I cannot remember.:D

Murphy will go out. They'll say it's because of the webbing on his hand, but it'll be partly that and partly because he didn't kick a goal. He goes get enough of the ball, nor does he provide much in the way of defensive pressure. He may yet come good, however. But I think that Harvey will prefer Tarrant for a while at least.

Therefore:

IN: Tarrant, McPharlin, Solomon (the latter two are a walk-up start. Solomon would be in the 22 any time)

OUT: M. Carr, Murphy, Peake

I doubt it will turn out like this, though.

Sorry mate, didnt know anything about an injury thought you just wanted him dropped.

I think Peake is now showing signs of coming back to his best. Has a lot more bounces on the weekend. When we are firing Peake is running and bouncing so that was good to see

in showpony??
Didnt know chance bateman had come to play for freo

I was probably a bit tough on CT but at least I want him in the team.

As for Chance. I dont see the connection. If he is doing a bit of showpony action then, IMO, good on him. I like someone with a bit of lair in him. He has carved us a few times at Subi. Fair player as well.

Solly, McPharlin and Tarrant are very likely ins on an extended bench

Spud is the most likely to go out
Peake showed improvement with his run, but his disposal was pretty bad (as well as his awareness at times)
M Carr I thought showed more than the first two weeks - he is coming back from surgery
Mayne might go out, but he would be unlucky
Gilmore played alright and has been pretty good down back
Heath Black is definitely in our top 5 - I don't think going back to the WAFL is going to help
Warnock will probably stay in

This was bloody hard, I am just calling it as I think it will be. Right or wrong.

Hayden Grover Dodd
Johnson Elvis Black
Mundy JCarr Mayne
Headland Tarrant Soloman
Wizard Pavlich Schammer

Foll Sandy, Palmer, Bell
I/C Warnock, Crowley, M Carr, Peake

Emergencies : Duffield, Spud, Gilmore, Ibbotson, browne :thumbsu:

In : Elvis, Solly, Tarrant (last chance, good opportunity for team moving forward to get some confidence in the big fella.)
Out : Spud, Gilmore, Duffield

Gilmore will go because Warnock offers more overall. Sorry I know he has a lot of fans, so he either takes M Carr's role as a tagger or there is no room IMO. End of the day, M Carr is the best tagger in our team, so if we are to pick a tagger, you go with MC.

Peake, Duffield, Mayne or Black are in the fight. Mayne stays, Black has a long way to improve and will be better to get this run. Peake needs one more run IMO to the disbelief of many I know, he will get a game. Duffield will be very unlucky but that is life.

It's bullshit if Duffield is dropped. He played way to well to be dropped this week. His hardness and crucial spoils and marks will be needed.
He just dosent simply deserved to be dropped. Lets give him a good run of games to see where's he at.

I think we should go really tall this week against Richmond on a fine and hot day at Subi.

Therefore;

IN: McPharlane and Solomon

OUT: Peake and Black.

IMO no one from the derby side should be dropped but when McPharlin wasnt in that side then someone has to go. I only want the one change to last weeks lineup. Whoever makes way for McPharlin will be very unlucky.

Tarrant, Solomon, Drum, Foster, Thornton etc will have to be in hot form to get back into the side. Which is a good thing for FFC, we are trying to fit 30 guys into 22 spots.

In the Worst today there is an article by Uncle Duffman. "All hands on deck".

Six or seven guys coming back. Luke, Han, Macca the hut, M2J2....then we have Drum and maybe Browne (surely won't get a game without consistent form in WAFL).

Tarrant (Bruised Back), Black (Bruised Hip) and Hayden (knee:thumbsd:) all did light work at training.

So maybe Black and Hayden will be out for this one, which opens the door for two more.
