Grover??? Why???
Matt Carr smashed Embley in the Derby.Peake i thought was pretty good.
I would love to see just one change this week.
McPharlin in for Murphy.
Thought everyone played pretty well in the derby. In the firing line is the obvious guy duffman but i still think he doesnt deserve to be dropped. No one should be a walk up starter, spots should be earned. Maybe solly will be unlucky this week. Although Black wasnt at his best, still giving away 50's
I just thought I read that Grover had a 'bruised buttock' or something like that.
I'm not saying he should be dropped, definitely not.GJ, we thumped Carlton last year to the tune of 80 points or so. That was Connolly's last win as coach. So it does happen, but I agree that we rarely 'put teams away.'
I've been watching the tape of the derby and I haven't noticed Peake's awful disposal yet (I've only rewatched the first half).
My pal Mundy was excellent. You can see which players have good foot skills when the ball is a little wet. Mundy hits a target almost every time and he can kick a goal from 50. Also, you might have noticed that he laid a couple of strong tackles and some decent spoils. Some of the criticism of Mundy has been well founded (in terms of his hardness at the contest) but those who thought he should be dropped were way off. In fact, he's played 2 rippers out of 3 games.
You can't give M. Carr the credit for Embley being shite. A poorer Norm Smith Medallist I cannot remember.

Murphy will go out. They'll say it's because of the webbing on his hand, but it'll be partly that and partly because he didn't kick a goal. He goes get enough of the ball, nor does he provide much in the way of defensive pressure. He may yet come good, however. But I think that Harvey will prefer Tarrant for a while at least.
Therefore:
IN: Tarrant, McPharlin, Solomon (the latter two are a walk-up start. Solomon would be in the 22 any time)
OUT: M. Carr, Murphy, Peake
I doubt it will turn out like this, though.
