FWIW, winning a final in isolation is an utterly irrelevant achievement.

The goal here is to win flags, not finals.

Whether you finish eighteenth, tenth, sixth or second, the only question that really matters is whether or not you're on the path to challenging for a flag.

We were in 10th. We beat Adelaide the following week to climb into the eight, then lost four of the last five.

At least it gave us a shot at Voss
