one company withdrew its money after a breakfast speech smart made where he slammed port (you may not like them but in his position don't do it publicly - especially in a room of business people with a differing supporter base)

an internal restructure has bought another person in to sit below smart (and help him reel back the loss)

when the question of why the Club is down in dollars the salaries of the fat cats employed under Chapmans rule is part of the answer

Smart apparently had an argument with Thomas at a breakfast about their race - and that we'd be covering it up during our home games.

I know you're raging at the moment (and I totally get it as I feel the same) - but pause for thought. In the history of the AFC how many media reports would we have seen setting out to destabilise the club in such a direct way?

I can't remember ever seeing or hearing anything like it. There was the reporting through Tippetgate - but this is really throwing a grenade.

I think this will cause a significant stir - local media will be all over it. Just a gut feel, but I think this will be the first salvo in long term destabilisation campaign - someone has to have set this up.

And that's the point, they will dismiss it. They will dismiss it the same way they dismissed the article written by Warren Tredrea 18 months ago, they will dismiss it as an article written by a Power fan trying to bring the Crows down. They are not open to that type of criticism.

The local media - if we win tonight, 5AA won't even mention it and just talk about the game and if anyone does, they will get shot down by Steven Rowe or Kim Dillion as supporters who have over reacted. If we lose, they will discuss it tomorrow (Saturday) morning and will just bag the author and the article out as someone without any credibility. They won't take it serious and shoot down anyone who wants to discuss it.

MMM - Roo will dismiss it as he should being s board member. KG is an idiot and won't listen to anyone and from the AFC boards point of view, Tredrea is a Port supporter who doesn't have that right to talk about the Crows. so that article will be dismisses as someone trying to rake mud over the poor Adelaide Crows.

You should definitely employ Haysman.

He was really strong financially, appointed a great coach and brought 2 huge sponsors who paid their bills MyATM and Soaring Securities. His Adel oval negotiations are legendary behind closed doors

I think the club made profits in 2003,2004,2005,2006,2007 and 2008 but his touch invested for the future in during his time in 2009,10 and 11 with some great numbers.

But his crem de la crem is taking accountability and responsibility for all things at the club

He just had a lot of bad luck........everything went against him. You know how life goes for some, but surprise surprise a new CEO and KT just got lucky. Haysie is just bloody unlucky

Ps Chapman 100% will appoint Smart, Haysman is not even in the picture. Hays desperately would want to do it as being a sales rep is hard to go back to, so he has done well to keep his name alive but he is the only one mentioning his own name. Reporters need something to write as Chappy is desperate to show that Nige is not the only one. But it is locked and loaded for Nige.
