I've never seen Rucci quite this desperate...

I did enjoy listening to 5AA today (haven't had a chance for a little while) and hearing a bunch of Port fans ringing up completely bemused that anyone would avoid AAMI stadium because there's too many Crows logos there.

Gotta say, I agree with them. I wouldn't care less if Port's logos were everywhere, my eyes would be on the players and the ground.

I am so sick of Rucci's hypocrisy about 5 years ago Rucci was on AA bagging Crows supporters for not turning up and that whole year made a point about how many no-shows there were.

I rang in and took him to task about it and brought up Port no shows, to which he claimed that the only no shows for Port games were the Cat 1 members. Yet once it becomes apparently obvious that Port supporters arent going rather than taking them to task he is trying to cover it up by making excuses.

Last year it was about the scheduling, yet now as they cant get a decent crowd on a Saturday night like they claimed they would, its suddenly all about how crow-centric the stadium is. At the end of the day he is the one that brought the whole spotlight out about crowd attendance and now is resorting to spin doctoring to take the heat of the Alberton faithful.

I started posting his "Roasts' back with comments such as try again..not very good...do better .... my blue bin is full and shit doesn't recycle.. ......especially when he went on about Scott Thompson and the counter.

The w***er used to actually reply and post them back to me. If you were a professional, surely you'd just chuck them in a bin, wouldn't you?

Obviously got under his skin. Stopped doing it a while ago - I was the one who had to put it in the bin anyway!

Rucci is at it again, today he is going back to having a subtle dig at Adelaide about drafting McGregor over Pavlich, yet makes no mention of Port drafting Adam Morgan as their 17 year old pick.

Pavlich >>>>>>McGregor >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Morgan

yet we are the ones that Port supporters and Rucci continually shit on about not picking him

We both overlooked Pav, but we ended up with a servicable player while Port ended up with a dud (also taken about 50 spots higher in the draft than McGregor too)

I'm beginning to take note of who writes articles in the 'Tiser about the Crows and over the last couple of weeks, when it's bad news (ie ANOTHER injury) Rucci writes the article, but when it's good news (ie Bock coming back) Zac Milbank writes the article. I can just imagine the newsroom:
Editor: "So what's happening in the sporting world? Let's do the Crows first..."
Reporter: "Well, Chris Knights has a stress fracture in his foot and will miss 6 weeks"
Rucci: "I'LL WRITE THAT ARTICLE"
Editor: "Anything else?"
Reporter: "Bock's finally on the come back trail and will be back for the Crows this week"
Rucci: "Pfft, boring, that's all yours Zac"

Ohh, but Port didn't need a Pavlich-type player at that time :rolleyes::rolleyes:

We took one champion from Freo, so we thought we'd better let them have one...we're not a selfish club, we share players ;) :p.

And I'm sorry, come 2012, Pavlich will not come home because we won't want or even need him since we'll have a 24 year old Tippett, 22 year old Walker and 25 year old Knights. Even if he wanted to come home now, the Crows will say no. He had his chance a few years ago to come home when we did need/want him, but he signed with Freo.

It's been obvious to me for years that Rucci abuses his position at the Advertiser to talk up Port and will usually try and sweep Port's problems under the carpet. On the flipside when he writes about the Crows more often than not he will emblish stories and always spin them as a negative in an attempt to tarnish the AFC.

Today is a perfect example ie going back to the old McGregor over Pavlich chestnut while deliberately failing to mention that Port took Adam Morgan instead.

There is a massive flaw that theory (basically any Port supporter using it is clutching at Straws) because Port were trying to move heaven and earth to get him about 3 years later (end of 2002) so if they actually didnt need him then it makes no sense why they tried to lure him to Port only a few years later.

I dont think ive heard any Port supporter say we dont need Pavlich at any stage through Pavs career.

Whilst we had a genuine superstar forward of our own and another strong marking forward in Chad, theres no doubt we could have done with Pav in our side as well, either up forward or down back. As you said, we tried our hardest to lure him when Tredders was almost at his peak.

Lets be honest, whilst everyone can sit there trying to point fingers at each other about not drafting Pav as far as I can remember during the 1998 season Pavlich didnt show enough to show that he was on the verge of becoming an outstanding young prospect. It wasnt until the 1999 season that he actually became one of the best young players in Australia.

Furthermore, all 16 clubs overlooked Pavlich!

Rucci wont ever admit that. According to him and the Port faithful the Crows apparently somehow had some exclusive caveat over Pavlich and were the only club in Australia able to draft him

I recon Rucci has a chocolate wheel in his office with his favourite Crow barbs on there and he gives the wheel a spin and whatever it hits he will dig it up and use it in his story.

Ever since this thread was created I have boycotted Rucci

Have bought the Advertiser/Sunday Mail 4 times, avoided all Rucci articles (was told he wrote something about Mary Mackillop, so I just had to see if it was true, because I didn't beleive it, but I didn't read it)

But I unfortunately read 1 Rucci article (on AdelaideNow), but I was interested in Port's tactic to cover their seats at games, looked pathetic in the SANFL Grand Final.

And what is going on down at Port these days?

can't they afford Photoshop?
because it was obvious they were stuck using Paint to put the black crap over all the bays.

Should of closed the Northern Grandstand, not as noticeable and they could shut the food and drink outlets up their. Would save more money.

Absolutely spot on.
