Traded Jack Ginnivan [Traded with #39, F2 & F4 to Hawthorn for #33, F2 & F3]

Different players. And obviously he didn’t start the pre-season on a good note.

There were better players in that role, that's why they played instead of Ginnivan - and it was proven to be a good decision.

Has talent but not certain that he will make it at the Pies. Other players work harder and/or have more to their games.

If I am a small forward and my club is out recruiting small forwards via trade two years in a row it says something.........

😄 you're having me on. has he ever won a single hard ball without flopping like a silly salmon? His career is now close to being over because he has no other way of winning the ball. He went from a '40 goals per season' goal kicker to a vfl calibre player the moment the anti flopping rules came in.

He'll be out of the system in 2 years.
Good to see you acknowledging that he does win the hardball though. See? You’re not completely negative about the Pies.

19 yr old rookie selection kicks 40 goals. Just a smart, skilled footballer.

Anzac Day game kicked 5 goals and couldn’t buy a free when they were there.

If you think small forwards like Motlop don’t draw head high frees you mustn’t watch much footy
Just a smart, skilled flopper*

It's no coincidence that as soon as the umps stopped buying his act he's gone from in the side and kicking goals regularly to a player struggling to get a game and when he does, he's barely able to hit the scoreboard or impact games.

And yes im sure our smalls have had their fair share of high tackle frees but their first instincts aren't to look for an opponent to run headfirst into and hoist their shoulders up to draw high contact.

No doubt Ginnivan has to work on his game. But what would you expect from a 20 yr old? Lacks a bit of pace. But he has shown he is a goal kicker. Not many small forwards can kick a goal 50m+ like Giinnivan.

Hill plays almost wing and has the speed to run back.

Schultz is a better player and an upgrade on Adams as a half forward.

All I’m saying is Ginnivan is a lot better than what people give him credit for. And I can’t think of another player at 19/20 who has had to play the game under as much scrutiny and/or abuse from opposition fans, media and being a physical target from opposition players.

No. They came in from round 15 and he kicked another 18 goals. It also meant he missed out on free kicks that were obviously there.

But you must really hate this guy he seems to still be milking them….

Mods should bring this one back on topic. The usual suspects have come out of the woodwork.

Well this year he was a fringe AFL player, which is about what he is rated as (our friend Dan who hates everyone excluded).

He made himself a target, that's on him and the club for poorly advising him.

FYI you may or may not recall what Joel Selwood copped from the start from Pies fans.

We're talking about Ginnivan...

Schultz will come in, replace Ginnivan, and Ginnivan will probably play 0-5 games next season in my opinion. Schultz won't replace Adams. Schultz is a goal kicker. Adams isn't.

Craig McRae was very high on setting standards at the pies. Things like not lying on the ground after a loss etc. But he needs to be called out for his double standards. Flopping around for frees is unbecoming but instead of setting the right standards he doubles down and called it a skill. And now Ginnivan's career has got backwards at the rate of knots. I think he's better off at another club that has 0 small forwards.

Despite going out in back to back straight sets, the Dees haven’t added any quality, particularly to that rubbish forward line that clearly will never win you a flag.

Would Collingwood accept pick 11 for premiership player Jack Ginnivan from the Dees? Would improve your forward line that little bit more where you might actually win a final.

We were bettercthan you this year anyway. We just had injuries when it mattered. But what's Ginnivan got to do with Melbourne?

Your forward line scored a whopping 60 and 62 points against us this year...

Also the dees fwd line won the 2021 flag so...and that was with spuds like Tom Mcdonald and Ben Brown playing. I wouldn't even offer pick 41 for Ginnivan

It must burn more than thinking you were better than us yet you still went out in straight sets and we won the premiership.

Yet we’re the reigning premiers and you’re not 👍🏼

Everyone knows covid premierships have an asterisks next to them. Your next 2 seasons are a reflection of your real standard.

I think pick 11 for Ginnivan might see the Dees win a final…

A bloke called Joel Selwood made a career out of it.
Won a few flags.
And the team he played for are not traveling too well without him.
Clubs need players that put there head over the ball.
Not sheep dogs.
Unfortunately for the game the AFL are now scared of these types of players.
With the current head high rules Joel wold have been out of the system in two years.
Garbage Joel Selwood had a lot more strings in his bow than that. Ginnivan needs to show he can do more than duck and complain..

We were better than you in 2021. You never beat us once. If only we played finals we would have knocked you out......

Your midfield can't hit targets. Do I need to remind you again?

I notice your own board thinks you are full of it. Is that why you are on practically every thread about Collingwood?

How about Goodwin's standards?
I'm sure he has a tip for you and the team at Nowra this week.

Asterisk? You've got 3 gifted father/sons and an NGA pick. A bit rich saying ours was an asterisk. Take out Moore, Daicos x 2 and Quaynor and what are you? bottom 4?

We payed the following picks for those players
Pick 9 Moore (bid pick 6)
Pick 57 J Daicos (no one rated him and took him years to get his ashma right)
Pick 13 Quaynor
Pick 4 N Daicos (cost us pick 2 as well)
We have also wasted picks on FS selections many times.

Im not sure if gifted is the right word.

Nick daicos did not cost you pick 2.

He may just be a flopper , do tell me how Windmill arms Curnow flayed in the finals compared to the slightest gush of wind during the regular season !! Wets the bed in finals , Hyatt Regency hotel in Brisbane needed to change Charlie’s sheets in the morning
