The constant sooking from crows fans about Lever is hilarious. I’m sure they thought it was fine when Betts/Gibbs/Jacobs wanted to come to SA.

Nah I'd wager he's a sparkling wine drinker.Maybe a nice antipasto or cheese platter with a glass of red as well on the right occasion.
They have lost Gunston, Dangerfield and now Lever solely to the go home factor, with Gunston and Lever only playing two seasons each. Carlton could have kept Betts had they paid him his worth. The fact you had to use Jacobs as an example shows they are more than behind the ledger when it comes to the 'go home factor'.The constant sooking from crows fans about Lever is hilarious. You mean compensation for example where they get an extra first round draft pick in the draft just gone and the next draft instead of the team Lever went to in Melbourne having a first round pick in those drafts?Source.
Is this for real? In a truly national competition, are we accepting this as a legitimate reason for walking out on a club willing to pay him $500k+ per season after only two years? To me this highlights the need for either a longer rookie contract or compensation for first round picks recruited from interstate. How ridiculous. At least Blighty knows it is nonsense.
Very disappointed in the lad after he point blank told us that he wanted to stay (at a function up here). I don't get why players aren't just honest about it. Tell us the opportunity is too good to pass up, don't crap on about wanting to be closer to family! It's a bloody hour and a half flight away FFS! After claiming wanting to be a one club player when he was drafted by us, and that he wanted to repay our faith in him... to then turn around and do that as soon as his contract is up for renewal... he can go and get ******.
Like I said earlier, the trade itself was fair enough, although you've excluded the second and third round picks Melbourne got back in that trade, silly mistake. You mean compensation for example where they get an extra first round draft pick in the draft just gone and the next draft instead of the team Lever went to in Melbourne having a first round pick in those drafts?
If only something like that could happen?
He’s not the one whinging about losing a player.
Scully told a dying Stynes (literally) that he wasn’t going anywhere.
And Jake said he wanted to be a 1 club player.... obviously both guys are full of shit, the only difference here is that Lever is going to your club so it’s fine.

i'm sympathetic though... i know and understand the hurt u must feel deep inside. Santa once told me i was getting a bike but the prick gave me a tent instead.
He doesn't need a reason to leave.Source.
