Yeah gee.. it's got me stumped too.Very disappointed in the lad after he point blank told us that he wanted to stay (at a function up here). I don't get why players aren't just honest about it. Tell us the opportunity is too good to pass up, don't crap on about wanting to be closer to family! It's a bloody hour and a half flight away FFS! After claiming wanting to be a one club player when he was drafted by us, and that he wanted to repay our faith in him... to then turn around and do that as soon as his contract is up for renewal... he can go and get ******.
I love it.Yeah gee.. it's got me stumped too.
Just wait til the Crows fans start seeing the Lever badges on here...
We are playing them twice H&A and neither game is at the G. No excuses.Playing for the Jake Lever Cup. Gonna be sweet. If you are playing them at the G, don't be surprised if they complain about the whole home ground advantage thing.......

And yet i believe you will beat them both times this year. I know where the excuses will come fromAnd it won't be from Melbourne supporters.
Strange to have excuses for winning isn’t it?
To get paid more and be back in his home townSource.
Is this for real? In a truly national competition, are we accepting this as a legitimate reason for walking out on a club willing to pay him $500k+ per season after only two years? To me this highlights the need for either a longer rookie contract or compensation for first round picks recruited from interstate. How ridiculous. At least Blighty knows it is nonsense.
Blight is so scrambled...he described lever's comments as "throwing fire on the petrol" lol
The Crows took Gunston's Best Young Player award off him once they found out he was levering.
There's no class at that football club.

Not exactly equal when two thirds of footballers come from one state though. If only there was some system to negate the impact this, maybe an academy of some sort...If someone offered you an extra 350k a year to do the same job but be closer to your friends and family then every single one of you would take it in a second. Grow up and understand loyalty to a football club isn't part of everyone's DNA.
Gunston sent his manager into the club (where the Crows though he was re-signing) to tell Adelaide that 'Jack has gone back to Melbourne, he is not coming back - Trade to Hawthorn please'
Gunston was never intending to go to the B&F if he wasn't ever going back there
How exactly was he supposed to accept it?
