Great article by Jonathan Brown in the Courier Mail - a little insight into Chris Scott the man, and the Brisbane Lions player. It makes you appreciate how astute the Geelong management was in appointing Chris ahead of the more fancied Hinkley and Sanderson.

Maybe when Brown retires, he could return to where he started his U18 football, and become an assistant under Chris. I've always thought he has a soft spot for the Cats.

Thats interesting that Scotty is best mates with Nige, I didnt realise that!!

Good article from Brownie, I bet Scotty is happy he didnt go with the port option......or his brothers team choice....

I don't rate Brown's communication skills at all. His personality is one dimensional. Nice fella? Probably, but you need to be flexible and an excellent communicator, to be an effective coach in today's game.

Pretty harsh, especially since he is the captain of his club (hence requiring communication and leadership skills). Yeah he is pretty one-dimensional when we see him in public (The Footy Show), but that is all that a show like that asks of him.

As a forwards coach... perfect for Hawkins

Why would he have a soft spot for us? IIRC whilst he was at the falcons, his involvement was pretty limited and he has never lived in the 'Geelong region'
This is a very vague memory but didn't he voice objections to having to play for the Falcons given he's from Warrnambol?

Are you serious? Do you ever watch the 'behind the scenes' segments they show all the time now?

Watched one on Sydney preparing before the Carlton game the other night, it was amatuer hour. They always are.

As someone in the business world spends a small amount of time in meeting and presos, these guys are the least inspiring orators you could find.
