Would do it on the condition that Tarrant has grown up off the field.

Dane mentioned briefly that Taz had matured (also mentioning that he was heading out with Taz later that evening, which sent a shudder down my spine) on Before the Game, which allays my fears a little.

No... He said he was going to see Chris for his 30th b'day and was designated driver.

regardless it sure as hell made me nervouse

you'd think didak, johnson and shaw will also be there

they better all be off the drinks and in bed nice n early.

Done deal.

It's pretty clear that Taz wants to be a magpie again.

I'm pretty sure many of the magpie faithful 'anti-Tarrant' would be all over this trade too.

It's not 2003.... Rest easy mate... The boys are more mature these days!

I'm not sure what Freo think of this but it gives them a back up ruckman who can play forward and would be good around the ground on the big Subi surface. Obvioulsy not sure how Joshs knee is, but he's a year younger then Taz and Taz has injuries of his own.

If Presti retires, I'm all for Taz.

Taz has shown he can take Franklin, Reiwoldt & Fevola. The forwards who have given us the most grief over the past few years.

We may need to sweeten the deal with Corrie or Cookie as the steak knives.:D

After a long think and a writing a pros and cons list, I have come up with the following conclusion:

YES YES YES YES YES

Would do the reverse...which is kinda wrong if you think too much about it!

I just thought it would be eat :thumbsu:

Tarrant for Fraser...hell yes!

Seriously?

If that deal was done more likely would be: Josh + 2nd rounder for Taz. (If indeed Freo were keen on Josh as an additional ruckman). But could potentially be a very good trade both ways.

Taz would go onto the vets list while Josh doesn't qualify just yet. Cam Wood would become our backup no.1 ruckman and likely another ruckman would get drafted (possibly Hickey).

Don't mind it to be honest.

Why would they want Josh when they have Sandilands?

Josh to GC

They need a backup ruckman, when Sandilands isnt playing they struggle.

Josh will go where he can get a better deal, both on the ground and in the pocket... and I do not blame him

He has not been the same person since being told he was second choice to Jolly

That would be the biggest lol trade ever.
They havethe best ruckman in the world and yet they want one of the worst.
And theyll lose their best FB.

Don't forget they will lose their best FB regardless....
I can't see how Hawks/Carlton won't be able to beat that trade though.

That's the key. It looks like it could be something for Taz or nothing. There's every chance Taz would retire if he can't get to the Pies.

That said, the club will run a lice comb over Taz to make sure he won't be a distraction. Don't want a rehashed rat pack.

It makes sense for Freo as well. A transition ruck for 2 years until Clarke is ready.

But if the club could get a late 1st round compo for Fraser from the GC, where he can join O'Bree, might be better than accomodating Tarrant. A lot depends on Presti.

Fraser's wishes here need to taken account of also. If he doesn't want to cross the Nullabor, but join his mate in Queensland, Tarrant's wishes pale into insignificance.

Havn't Fremantle reached their quota of awful trades yet?
