Kreuzer getting drafted as a forward

So you think KReuzer cant ruck?
Or doesnt have a position??

I dont think were crying out for half forwards right now ..

Meanwhile Kreuzer carried the Knights for a whole season in the ruck and he was run down and injured towards the end... (yes even his draft camp resuts)...

Actually we are crying out for a half forward right now. We don't have a game turner of the style of Chapman or Didak.

And in regards Kreuzer getting injured, well it seems to me he DID get worn down. As MOST RUCKMEN do. We can pretend THIS RUCKMAN won't or we can get real and recognise they are an over-rated commodity because their position makes them injury prone.

YES Cotchin did get injured towards the end of the year - he broke a bone in his foot. I don't think we have to worry too much about him breaking heaps of bones in his foot over the years. But a ruckman having a knee problem? Already? At 18? And no one is worried about this? How's he going to go slamming into the likes of Charman and Sandilands every week?

Why cant we have to worry about him not breaking his foot... whats his bone density records say??

Have you been privy to them??

He might be a Sporne... plays 5 games and hes out with cracks on his foot...

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

After seeing JK,Murph,Bower,Gibbd,Hammer,Grigga etc drafted over the last 2 years I can honestly say that I finally trust Carlton's recruiters to make the right choice.

Whoever they pick I will be happy with and If 1 is clearly a better candidate they will pick him

Damn straight ! Good post. WH and Co. know what they're doing. I absolutely trust them to make the right call.

I'm with you TGR.
Waking up on Nov 24 this year will be very much like waking up on Christmas morning when I was a kid. :thumbsu:

Would have liked to keep pick 20 or at least got 30 though. Patrick Veszpremi would have been nice.

Who are you leaning towards for pick 1 in the Phantom draft?

Sorry mate, but there is no way i'm realeasing that information just yet. You will find out in due course. In fact, I think it is getting under way next week.

I'm sure you'd love and appreciate some advice from the Carlton faithful :p

Gilly's been trying.:p:D

I really am still deciding on who I am going to take at #1. No point me watching more tapes, as it just confuses me more. I've even done a list of pros and cons between the players in question.

It will probably be our last chance to draft an All Australian for several years. Does the issue boil down to your view of ruckmen? If you think (as I do) that they are over-rated because their position makes them injury prone which eventually negates many of the attributes that you see in them as juniors, then you pick Cotchin. If you think that finding a real top shelf one is just too hard, and that top shelf ruckmen are worth it, then this opportunity is too good to miss (despite how good Cotch is) and you will probably take Kreuzer.

There is a lot to the decision but your view of ruckmen is obviously central.

Take Cotchin c'mon rock the boat a little bit :thumbsu: It'll be good for us posters closely watching how the phantom draft pans out!
