Mick McGuane has predicted us finishing 14th, I think he will most probably be around the mark.
I'd be willing to bet that Kane Cornes will be the only one in the media predicting us to finish bottom.
I can't wait to laugh at his expense again this year.
Not a fan of this type of thinkingWe'd all love that but, realistically, we're a couple of years off.

Why cant we? I understand we all want to see linear progression - but players churn in and out of the side and of form.
I understand there is a threshold some players need to reach but nothing held us back in 97/98
A great NFL podcast called Between the Sticks looks at how Bengals and Rams built their teams to play off in this years Superbowl
Bengals were the worst team 2 years ago - they got lucky with their QB - but mostly drafted experienced players in positions they felt weak and drafted prospects
Rams on the other hand got an ok QB and sold their first 2 rounds of draft picks to bring in gun players
One of these teams won it
I think we shoot for the stars

Top 7 should be close - Saints/Port only question
Next 4 are contenders for 8th
Bottom 7 have 5040 different finish positions available and it will come down to the last 3 games to determine what the final order is
I think Adelaide could win anywhere from 5 to 10 games - hopefully there is upward improvement
Port are a team I cant accurately predict. I think they could be on the edge of a cliff. If Butters, Rozee , Duursma and other draftees can take over the team then a top 5 finish is in reach. If the kids struggle then they could plummet outside the 8
2 reasons Himmelferg and Fogarty, our KPF stocks are a bigger worry than our midfield when it comes to being competitive especially with no Walker the first 4 weeks and into the future. If both don't stand up this season we're in for a power of hurt.Lots of predictions coming in with us finishing bottom now.
Still working out how there's gonna be a 4 game swing between us and North Melbourne and I think a few are overestimating what Sam Mitchell will be able to accomplish in his first year.
At AFL "experts" are predicting the same. I hope we prove them wrong. Nicks will be walking on eggshells if that is the case.Lots of predictions coming in with us finishing bottom now.
