Great match!

What else can you say but what a ripper of a winning kick. Tough angle and under pressure. Top effort.

Loved Goody's 9er too. One of, if not the best play of the night, that passage of play there. Love it when they do that.

Great start, but an unbelievable fizzle in the second quarter. Rough, fierce contest, esp in the last half.

Port could have sealed it earlier about 3, 4 minutes to the end, but I'm glad we took advantage of most of our opportunities in the end.

all my answers !

Hey thanks you just answered all my questions in my whinge about Net coverage in other thread.

Hey its only the wizard thingamajig but close game with the Power is a good sign as despite everything we might wish chances are they are a top 4 side this year and hopefully it means we are right up there again this year.

Bring on the real stuff I say !

Daz.

Burgoyne coulda sealed it yeah....but Adelaide missed about 6-7 shots on goal in the last 6 or 7 minutes. If you took your oppurtunities in the last 5 minutes you woulda won by 6 goals.

These are the games that separate the men from the boys. Ladhams showed that he has continued on from last year and really stepped up. Not only is he becoming a class mid-fielder, he is dangerous up forward.

Amazing when you consider that Goodwin and Ladhams were both picked up in the pre-season draft.

I can remember Mark Harvey on c7 sport saying how dirty the Bombers were in not managing to hold on to Chris & how he thought just what a good player he will become,

still get a laugh from that thread on the Port board regarding how many better players they have in there side before Goodwin,:D

Yes, that was the comment from that great football guru " Eddie Woloschek" on the Pork Powder board. I quote:

"comparing the squads . . .

McLeod is a champion in anyone's business - and Goodwin is probably their next best - i'd pick 9 Port blokes before i'd pick him."

followed by

"Gavin Wanganeen, Shaun Burgoyne, Josh Carr, Josh Francou, Warren Tredrea, Stuart Dew, Chad Cornes, Nick Stevens, Roger James.

Talk to me Monday about Salopek making it ten."

I think that says it all.

He is a silky skilled player and he has shown it again. Not only by his winning goal but his overall game tonight was exceptional IMHO.
I was impressed with Ladhams ability to get the ball out to a team mate in tight situations. Looks like he will be one of the players to step up with the loss of Sugar.

what did you expect from a Rooster's player :D

I enjoyed watching the game - it was very exciting & i see this game as a phycological(sp?) boost as it was the first time in 5 or 6 matches that the crows have beaten port.

It took my mind off the fact i couldnt see my team play :( - they still won though :D

congrats to the crows & here's hoping for a good year.:D

I have to agree with this. I thought Adelaide had control in the last part of the game but I really wondered if they were going to just refuse to win it.

Came bloody close to just exactly that. What was with Goodwin & edwards missing very gettable goals in the last q?

Spot on as always macca23!!!!!!;) I remember Essendon were pretty angry when Ladhams walked out on them to join us via pre-season draft. I think he was pick 23 in 98 draft (not sure). I liked this little fella from the start. He appears to have those silky skills (especially by foot) that make him an absolute pleasure to watch. He is a very good reader of play and can kick special goals. Both goals he scored last night required a great deal of skill. One was a snap shot over his shoulder and the other, well we all know how good was that.:D

I think Ladhams has added something to his game every year he has been at the Crows and he is set up for a very good year which suits as just fine.

Watched the game, thought your boys were awesome.
Looking forward to big things from them this year.
Nice kicks from Goodwin and Ladhams.

Will become a very good player, just love the way he backs himself, silky skills not unlike the Jarman brothers,

Except the Jarman's could kick on both sides of the body

What is it with left footers having absolutely no right side what so ever.
