Interesting that they mentioned the 2004 Preliminary Final. Scarlett played an outrageously good season but got beaten that night. I could probably count on one hand the amount of times he got beaten in the decade between 2002-2011.

Loved how he said we would win the flag this year.
"Geelong have the formula to do it, most other clubs don't"

yeh that was emphatic by Scarlo wasn't it, he's blatantly honest but Mike asked whether Geelong will slide this year or not and to get a response "I think they will win the premiership" Mike was like "What the f***!" :D

Also, anyone into that Super coach stuff, he mentioned a Bulldog named Roughead as a future champion.

I was at his first game, and have seen since on DVD. I think Scarlo's first touch that day was when he tucked the ball under his arm before running forward and setting up a score down the other end. Little did we know at the time he'd do that hundreds of times over his career.

Never seen it. I believe Lynch kicked a few and Bizzell played a great game too. That's about all I know.

Yeah that game seemed to mess with his mind a bit over the next two years where he wasn't as consistent or great as he was in '02 to '04. It wasn't until '07 that he really got back to his best.

Was great viewing.
A quick note, I REALLY enjoyed the part when he explained his hit on the Hobbit and when pressed about "being told off" said that Selwood sat him down and had a chat.
Thats REAL leadership from Selwood and it was something I was worried about him not being able to do after such greats like Harley and lingy, not so much because he isn't/wasnt good enough but just more due to age.
Very happy to hear that and know for a fact that we have the best captain going around and who will be in the role for 8+ years.
I love his honesty, no thinking about how to say it or sugar coat anything, just straight down the line "this is how it is".

Bobby no offense but do you understand supercoach? I'm bloody hopeless at it.. but a champion fullback doesn't always translate into a high scoring supercoach player.. He could completely shut down his man but not get near much of it himself and won't score high..

Anyway back on topic.. How good was his 2007 finals looking at the raw stats... Average of 22 touches a final, conceded 0 goals.. Incredible

One of his 1st touches he took of bouncing up the ground and kicked it straight to a bombers player.. Gary O'donnell I think? And he has claimed it was deliberate cos he was an Essendon fan haha

yeh no sorry man I don't know what it's about, I was referring to the player he feels will be terrific for them as he mentioned Roughead as the bloke to become a top 5 key position player, thought Roughead plays more of a HBF/CHF/Rucking role?
Does a bit of everything
