McGovern (ADE) officially requests trade

Mmmm

Seems one of the biggest motivators for players in moving clubs is they want to play in the one's and in their preferred role. Not to say money isn't important though.

Is is feasible he sees he is going to struggle to achieve that at the Crows if say he wants to be a tall target up forward? Tex, Jenkins and Fogarty present a real challenge to get past. Could he be redirected to as a back?

The Blues have two good targets in Curnow and Mackay but present more opportunities maybe.

Perhaps but interesting he signs a contract and four weeks later his Manager is checking out trades (all before the camp no less!).

Answer it instead of acting like a child.

Im asking the question here buddy boy - clearly I dont know the answer which is why Im asking.
"Buddy boy"? Seriously?

Dildos and fondling? You need to ask?

I'm going with "no, it's not true". Just a guess though
Appreciate the question chief

“I know that Kane Cornes and Malcolm Blight and a few blokes in Adelaide have said he’s absolutely leaving for money,” he said.

“If he was going to leave for money, he would’ve got an extra million dollars to go to Fremantle last year so that’s just rubbish.”

“He’s on a very good contract at the Crows, it’s extremely good, so it’s definitely not about the money.”

“His contract from Carlton will be much similar to the one he’s on at Adelaide, it’s more about the post code where he wants to live.”

Don't be so bitter.
I'm not bitter at all. I'm used to players leaving now and am pissed at the club for fostering an environment where this happens. We've got our own problems, that's for sure. Doesn't mean your club isn't the pits. Why the hell would you choose Carlton out of every other Melbourne club?

That bloke couldn’t lie straight in bed! Whatever.

It is about money, not ifs, no buts. It might be an extra $50k-$100k per year and that is the story.
So he rejected a million dollars last year only to change his mind to chase an extra 250-400k this year?

Sorry to say it doesn't make any sense, there are obviously other major reasons.

It makes perfect sense if you think you can get more money elsewhere. To get the biggest money contracts you go to the worst teams. No better candidate than Carlton (or GC).

If he went for a Hawthorn, Collingwood or e even an Essendon you could believe it was for other reasons but there is only one reason why you go SPECIFICALLY to the league basketcase and it ain't because you are looking for faith in a club.

Someone on our board said he was pissed off due to injury mismanagement and missing the GF. Was supposedly inside info. Makes sense though and fits what Young says about looking at a trade last year as well.

Maybe he has more faith in the direction of our club. I mean look at your own supporters beliefs of your club.
We're a Shit Show - Fagan is a Complete Fraud, We're Rotten to the Core

18 years into a rebuild your club won 2 games and got their worst percentage in who knows how long- of course your direction can't be down (or can it?!?!).

Or a club who knows how to consistently play finals.

No, Mitch (and Young) know that if you join a shit team, you can be paid handsomely. Im sure he doesnt like someone at our club, but you dont look to a club whose administration has failed the best part of 2 decades and think "yeah I like where this is going".

He'd join a different Vicco club if that was his priority.
