plays like his namesake a little too. seems like a good player though, caught my eye in the game at Casey Fields (Melb) played really really well, worked his wing and continued to try all day.

We probably need a winger a fair bit now that Lovett may be disappearing.

agree, although, IMO, Stanton would be more worthy of a 4th round pick, but has been playing consistantly in the TAC cup since returning from championship duties,

So Rance (pick 18) was arguably the best defender in last years draft and I dont think has played a game this year? Yet people think that if we take Hurley he will be able to hold down a defenders spot next year. We have a slow defender in Pears, do we need another one? If we didnt a defender so badly would Hurley be even rated top 5?

Hurley was rated top three earlier in the year. It was a race between him, Naitanui and Rich for 1,2 and 3. Our needs have nothing to do with it.

I'm just saying, a lot of people accuse him of being slow (I worded my sentence wrong ). You're right that he has a wonderful kick on both sides and is a great reader of the play.

We should pick him up.

we don't need a small defender, we've got Slatts, what we need is a young & a back-up ruckman, young tall back and 2-4 mids
