So it's highly likely we're trading Lovett for a 2nd Rnd Draft Pick.
Could it be possible to then trade our two 2nd Rnd Draft Picks for a 1st Rnd?
Maybe for Geelongs.
They've drafted enough superstars...

the facts are we could have had the last 2 NAB rising star awardees in selwood and palmer
defenders don't win games of football !!
our first pick isnt too far off geelongs round 1. not worth it.Maybe for Geelongs.

and i would've selected them BOTH !!
Gumbleton never appealed to me because we already had Lloyd/Lucas at the time. Selwood was the exact type of midfielder we were looking for, and had captain written all over him.
Palmer was the obvious choice in 07 draft. we desperately needed a midfielder that could make an impact in 08 and i knew this kid would be ready-made. i saw Myers as a Birchall type that would not be worthy of a pick no.6.
my read has been spot on. (i'm usually very good)
and i DO NOT want Essendon taking Hurley with pick 5 !!
you NEVER take a defender with a top pick - not even if you think he's the next Matty Scarlett !!

I wanted Myers or Palmer last year, but this constant "omgz y dint we pik plmer??" "Palmer > Myers" is ridiculous. Not everyone can make a Selwood-like impact in their first year.
Don't worry about Myers, he may not have Palmers ball winning ability yet but he is at least able to use the ball. I would much rather a bloke that gets 20 possessions and he uses it well 18 times, than someone who gets 30 possessions and uses it well 12 times. You can't acquire kicking penetration...
could you please add 1 more choice GS
- trade the pick (for Kerr)
i vote that.![]()
I'd call you a fool, but your recent posts have trumpeted that fact all over the board so my role is now redundant.
On topic, they both sound like they are very promising talents but I'd have to go with Hartlett as I think he suits our midfield better.
