Yes, but a few years ago (u16's). I am not fussed about his injuries as with medicine these days they are repairable. I really want Tom Swift at Essendon. But I'd pick Hurley first and hope Swift is there from Lovett's traded pick.

Bartel is the best comparison.
If we secure sydneys pick 12 for Lovett I think there is a chance that Sidebottom or Ziebell will be Windy Hill bound and Essendon hope that trengove or McKernan are available at 12. At 23 we would look for the best possible pick with Broadbent, Walters or Hill a great result

Haha, yes it is a little wierd.
There was a minth or so there where it was hectic and i hardly saw a computer, I quit as mod as i only get on here and there at night where i used to be home all day.

lets say we were able to get sydney's first pick through lovett (plus another one of ours probably). if we then took Hurley at 5

Hill & Robinson will probably go around there as well as Swift.
there's a chance steele sidebottom could last that long and mitch robinson is the other.
a good ruck/forward option in mckernan may also be available which could be worth a look.
i'm doubting sydney will give up that pick though especially if they are angling to land kerr.

I was on the train on the way home tonight and in the MX sports section it had a short piece on Lovett and also about who Essendon is considering for pick 5 and they (Essendon) said Chris Yarren is very high on their list.. thoughts?

considering the possibilities we could get at five, i wouldnt be happy with yarran. would much rather hurley or one of the infamous 3 (hartlett/Ziebell/Sidebottom)

Sounds good but instead of Ash Smith and people saying we should go with another mid with that pick I think we need some one who could possibly fill a medium marking type defender, Mr.Allwright! Other than that sounds good

The plan with the Lovett Trade is to swap Sydney's number 1 selection for Essendon's number 2 selection.
Therefore Essendon gain selection 12 ( giving us 2 first round selections ) and we give up selection 23.

Could Essendon Rookie list Andrew Lee, he would still be on our list, he does have big raps on him, is a KP backmen, has been hit by injuries, but no one is going to give him a go, just thought of it then, that way we could go for a midfielder with our first round pick, and still be able to pick up a tall backmen later in the draft, just a thought, he is still young enough to be a rookie isn't he, under 23, i think.
