I see on the afl match ups he's listed to play on Lake at FF.
Playing as a FF with shut a down role would be interesting to say the least.

He should be fine as a defensive forward having played as a defender, but I'd prefer Mayne lining up alongside Lake.

Lake is listed as 195 cm and 105 k's might be a bit too much for Mayne who's stats have him at 188 cm and 88 k's. MJ's 194 & 92 seems a better option.

Tttt I'd thought all week MJ on Lake would be good look. Surprised to see it panning out that way. Obviously things will change during the game but it will certainly have the Big Footy team watching closely.

Johnno was ok. Not one of his best games, but he stuck to his role and hit a target on most occasions.

He probably was the difference when it came to winning the match overall as a utility defender when it counted. Can't recall him getting outmarked ever. Can't recall him have a free kick against him, even for holding the ball etc.

His is a lock selection. Some need to get over it.

(Assumes Broughts is fit and takes Chrichton's spot in tonight's team, assume Silver is not fit, as IMHO as soon as Silver is fit MJ is off to the knackery of all of our other key size options are fit)

1. Walters (and move JVB back)
2. Clarke, to play a sweeping role across HB.
3. JA (and play McPhee or Pav as backs)
4. Sibbo (as a backman).
5. Bucovaz (I don't care if he is hurt he still tries harder than MJ);
6. Chrichton. Seriously, this is the best choice - he has nearly the same leap, better speed, more ferocious tackling and better skills.
7. Go small and fast with Hinkley as the 3rd KPB (props to Chris, I now claim the $40 I'm owed for being positive about Hinkley and rating him above another Freo player);
8. Nanna (my 92 year old gran who's been dead for 3 years). At least she still inspires the fear of god...
