I know wines lead our possessions last week but he had zero hurt/mongrel factor. Not often you can accuse wines of playing bruise free footy but last week was a real shock to see him lack so much fight. Needs to roll his sleeves up and get to work tonight. Was the contested ball winning king in 2021. Bring it back.

Our midfield mix is based around Lycett helping contribute to first hands on the ball for Boak, Wines & Drew to get it out. To JHF, Rozee, Butters, or even further out to a running HB in Houston or Farrell off the back of the square.

If we give up first hands all day the rest of the midfield is taken out of the play.

Edit: Lycett doesn’t even need to win that many hit outs to advantage just help keep it out of the crows hands.
