As much as it really pxsses of people on (and quite a few journos) here the majority of Australian share his conservative views on things like refugees, aborigines, gay marriage etc.

A huge number of people will tell you that Gough and Fraser were absolute and utter duds but few will say they hate them. Keating on the other hand was roundly despised by huge sections of the population. Hasnt it ever occurred to you how odd it is that at election time the ALP wheels out Gough and Bob and puts them in the front row whilst Keating is nowhere to be seen.
