Sorry I was wrong then. That makes it 9 out of the last 11 years not 8.

Fyfe has never been as consistent as Selwood and never will be. The players rate Selwood higher (As do many coaches and Leigh Matthews). Only Freo fans genuinely think Fyfe is better and all other fans (specifically on bigfooty) will never appreciate Selwood as he has destroyed their clubs dreams for a decade thereabouts.

FYI Selwood was carrying an injury over those seasons but isn't soft and played (as well as kept a lid on it, a no excuses player). As with the players top 50 Selwood has x5 AA to Fyfes x2 AA. No comparison and like I said an insult to Selwood. Not to say Fyfe is crap he is definitely a champ.

Funny that Fyfe had won 2 Leigh Matthew players awards. Selwood has 0

FYI - this is the award the players vote on.

Got an over rated coach so they might as well pay over prices fee for fyfe too, fits in well

A premiership is clearly not his priority. He also chooses life in a mediocre city over one of the greatest metropolises on earth. He is one of those simple minded folk happy in his comfort zone, not curious about the wider world. And that's fair enough, it's his choice and life is short so do things according to your own values and don't follow mob mentality.

Salty much? Not everyone wants to come and play and win football in Victoria.

I'd suggest that if you think Melbourne is one of the greatest metropolises in the world, you are the one who isn't curious about the wider world and is happy simply being in the comfort zone of the footy mad city.

Unlike Judd eh?

Strange post on many levels. Perth and Melbourne are both great places to live. And your assumptions that he would be more likely to win a flag somewhere else need the support of some evidence. How about an alternative narrative. That he wants to embrace the challenge and lead Freo to their first flag.

You need to get out more buddy, there are so many fantastic places around Australia to live and play footy. To suggest Melbourne is the one and only place smells of ignorance and someone that has been nowhere.

Geez if Fyfe is getting multi dollar deal .. wonder what Wines will be worth, if and when, he becomes Port Captain.

& after he dominates the AFL comp .... when do you expect the break out year that might allow a comparison with Fyfe?

I love to watch Wines play, but he's still on the same level as Viney.
