What do you guys think?

Isn't it the age old problem that when you wear a clash jumper you normally wear white shorts (take the case when we play Collingwood as the away team) and the fact this jumper is predominately blue it still doesn't make it different enough? If we wear blue shorts with it yeah, it would look good but probably not different enough from our normal jumper to warrant it being a 'clash' jumper.

I think the jumper will be only used against the Roos. I think the Preliminary final showed that you guys in all white is a lot easier then both teams being in a darker colour.

Good point all depends on the shorts but by itself i reckon it looks awesome

yeh, i reckon we should have a predominantyl white jumper

It happens EVERY time we do a clash jumper. We normally have to use a clash jumper when we are the away team so why don't we design one that is predominately white? Every time we do it (anyone remember the two-tone blue hooped one a little while back?) it doesn't solve any clash. More of a marketing move than a clash remedy I think.

Surely one of our IT experts could reverse the colours to see what it looks like. The blue in these ones is not navy blue but that wishy washy French blue. I quite like the design.:thumbsu:
yeh, can someone photoshop the colours the other way round or something?

Dont like it at first glance , would rather the one from this year. Hopefully it will grow on me.

You would only wear this with blue shorts as this would be considered your dark strip. I think you'll find more and more next year that the Cats will occasionally wear white shorts for home games.

Where do you get this from? I know they wore them a fair bit during the finals to avoid clashes but since when are we going to wear white shorts when playing home games?

I suspect the AFL will start prodding Geelong and North to wear white shorts at home in borderline clashy situations - on the basis that "hey, it worked well in the finals..." (which it did.) It'll be the league's way of "improving" the clash situation without actually doing anything substantial.

And under the new rules of teams having both a light and a dark strip, it does make sense for the team wearing the "light" strip to be wearing the "light" shorts as well.
