Move on people.

Lets not see any repetitive and rubbish posts this week. Yes we lost, yes we lost the lead again in the final quarter, yes we are in a losing streak.

Get on with it as the club is, we will get through it.

Port next weekend, they suck!

Believe, believe, believe.

Harvey is due his chance and that means at the minimum 2 years so shut up about him.

Good post :thumbsu:

We are still thereabouts, so there is no need to get all psychotic and have a massive hissy fit, we will come good. We just need to play the four quarters out, if we can do that we will beat anyone who gets in our way. Yes, it does hurt to lose, especially under these circumstances, but supporting Freo is a tough gig. Stick it out and one day you will reap the rewards. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but one day.

why would u wanna cause more pain on yourself havent u been trhrough enough just this season alone as a freo supporter.

better of goin on a rampage an taking your anger and frustration out on anyone and anything else let them feel some of the pain.

Anyone who seriously thinks harvey should be sacked even if we only win 1 game all year is crazy.
team has matched it with the best just fell short a number of times.
Plus a change of coach is always tough an takes a while before his influence takes effect.

He will do a mass cleanout at the end of the season which means we will probably struggle again early next season.

Needs to be given 3 years before we can tell if he is heading in the right direction.

I'm getting royally sick of this mental fragility crap the players keep dishing up but doesn't mean I won't be screaming from the stands next week...

Personally I have a funny feeling that this hard stretch will be the making of our club.

For too long we've been a team that pushes sides into the last quarter and then gets brushed aside when the game is on the line by one or two of the oppositions star players as witnessed against the Pies in Round 1 and the Hawks Round 2 and the Crows Round 5.

Obviously the last few games have been a little different, the origins of which can be found in Pav's poster against Geelong. Since then the players have choked week after week when the opposition as come at them and have failed to deal with the pressure. Those demons quite obviously ate at Pav when he drilled the ball into the post against the Blues.

But, in a way, hitting this wall might be the best thing for a club that has a history of mental fragility that we've managed to get away with up until now. Up until now we've managed to reply to a disappointing loss by burning someone the next week and therefore taking the heat off.

Not anymore.

Maybe, just maybe, after this stretch of heartbreaking losses, once the team finally finds the steel to hold their nerve and post a win they'll never look back.

Then the next time the game is on the line they won't just tease us with the thought of a win, they'll know how to grab hold of the game and keep hold of it until the siren blows...

Very true Avid.

I mean think of it this way, Palmer and Ibbo are our best midfielders at the moment (Crowley as well but he's tagging), when J.Carr and Headland come back in, we are instantly that much better in there.

The fact that we have been in all our games in the last 4 weeks with 2 midfielders with 15 games between them speaks volumes for us.

There are good women? :confused::confused::confused:

They are playing like woman , as for the thread title , my advice is not to ignore whats happening. Speaking from experience (Richmond having something fundamentally wrong within the club for 20 odd years) if you don't vent and discuss ways to fix the problems they will just roll on. How long have you been in the comp now 15 years and you are no better than when you started.(slight exaggeration)

Voice your opinions , you'd be surprised to know how many people with positions in AFL Clubs look at this sight. Like us they eat, live and breath footy and they are currently looking for answers too. They check these boards alot.

We had guys on our board suggesting Richo move to the Wing months before they made the move (some of these guys really know their footy) I'm guessing you have similar supporters that do as well.(except Hoogs)

Don't stick your heads in the sand and let them serve up this crap week in and week out. Its not acceptable from a team as talented as yours.

Although I believe Freo can be over rated at times you are not a 1 and 8 team on any planet full stop. Discuss the problem . find the problem let the club know what the problem is and get rid of it.

In my opinion you were slaughtered by the umpires yesterday as Carlton are the most precious team in the AFL when it comes to them. But in saying that Carlton don't have a back line and you guys have an awsome forward line so it should of never been that close any way. There is some thing seriously a miss at your footy club ,

I've seen Richmond supporters hang their hats on hope for years and this thread title smacks of the same thing. (Its got that everything will be alright , if we pretend its not happening attitude, which is deadly)

Carp post Troy.

What good does a great forward line do when your midfield is led by 2 players with 15 games between them?

How many first round draft picks did Carlton have running around in the midfield?

Our midfield is the reason we are losing games, they can't get their hands on it in the last quarter. SIMPLE

Thats a direct result of having such an old midfield wouldn't you think. Don't let it happen again. Have a look how Adelaide drafted last year still will take a year or 2 to take effect but all their guns are old and will have flat spots and form problems in the next 2 years.

Play the senior players if they deserve a game , drop them if they're not . promote any one that earns their spot. drop players back to 2's to learn new roles and skills , bring them back in.

Well Harvey is playing who he has. J.Carr, Haselby and Headland are all unavailable.

Bell, McManus will be gone at the end of the year. Palmer and Ibbotson will be in their spots.

J.Carr, Headland, Crowley, Haselby, Palmer and Ibbottson. There's the starting midfield Round 1 next year.

Nothing your saying is not something that's already being done.

I know that , you've got the same list all year , the players are only going to improve if they are Coached right. Time to play the best mix of experience and youth. Like I said you have a decent list , thats over 44 players to choose from.

Good luck

We are not far off. Alot of narrow loses and finding Ibbotson and Palmer is a God bless. Headland, Hasleby, and J Carr our in our best 6 midfielders. Thats alot to lose in one area and especially in our midfield.

I hate losing like this but it beats being killed.

People talking about getting rid of 25% of our list are just stupid. You dont getting alot of exciting players after the 50 pick, even in a strong draft year.

I don't think we really get a choice... again... this year. The mid tier players simply don't deserve their spots. :thumbsd:

Our big difference this year and yes I know we are only on 14 points and have choked as hard as you guys at times but for a Tigers Supporter to watch us compete every week it s a god send that out of our 44 players , we have roughly 32 crawling over each other for a game (thats including untried rookies that are playing decent footy for Coburg like Rance and co).

In years gone by we'd just roll out the same 22 in different positions and only 8 of them deserved to be there. Do not go down this road , trust me it hurts. Play the kids , get rid of the attitudes or the Coach if he proves useless. I didn't see much change in Harveys recruiting policy to Conollys , maybe a few players have their noses out of joint because they are being pushed out by the Essendon players (Tall story granted and a big maybe)

That would be because you don't have a clue
