Apart from the premierships he's won, the other 2 out do Brown in what they have actually achieved. Consistently being on the park is an attribute which makes a great player and helps your team. I'd take the other 2 because they consitently play 20 games a year to Brown's 10. They are far more beneficial to the team if they do that. Therefore I would choose Pavlich.

If Brown can string 20 games + this season he will be in the top 3 for Charlie, wouldnt surprise me if he got it. Hes the best forward since Carey IMO and will be hard to top him in years to come if his body can take it.

So what has Pavlich and Riewoldt achieved besides AA honours and a couple of Club best and fairests??? Sure enough there fantastic honours by any means but how many of the 3 grand finals do you think Brisbane would have won if Browny wasnt there???? He play 3 games this year and polled 7-9 Browlow votes i think. Come on now. The topic was who was the better CHF. Pavlich hardly plays there and Riewoldt plays more of a high CHF who cant finish.

Brown in theory could be an awesome player but as it stands he has never

- been All Australian

- Won a Coleman Medal

- Lead the lions goal kicking

- kicked more than 40 goals a season

I voted Pav, never misses a game and is ultra consistent.

Would obviously take any, prefer Pavlich who is not as injury prone.

Riewoldt struggles a bit with his kicking for goal, Brown has been struggling to get onto the park.
I'd take Pavlich atm, but if all were fully fit and in form, I'd take Brown.

The question is who is the best CHF? Given that this is the question, I think Jonathan Brown has the most tricks up his sleeve to play this position. He is greater in size than Pavlich, a better contested mark than him also and a better kick that Riewoldt.

If you asked me who the best player is though, I would go with Pavlich, very closely followed by Riewoldt.

Either of them have been better, simply because: a) they've been on the park more and b) have achieved more individual accolades.

Brown has yet to dominate a season, win a swag of AA jumpers and show his full potential. At his best Brown can be better ... until then, performance has to equal his potential first before he can truly be the best.

Brown is incredibly overrated. I'd like to see him dominate an entire season first, not just the odd game here and there. People are basing him being the "best" on potential, rather than actual on-field achievements (in which Riewoldt and Pavlich surpass him in that area).
