After an ugly ugly start that turned into an absolute cracker of a game. If only Thomas managed to kick straight on the siren *sigh*

I feel pretty positive about where we're at. Whilst gutting to lose another close one, maybe this gives the coaching staff the impetus to start making some changes. Two close losses that we should have won and it is a long way to finals from here.

Some thoughts:
- Garner: lack of continuity showed. Has always struggled to get enough of the ball, not tonight. Now to cut the butcher act, taking shinboner a little too literally.
- Pruest/Goldy: combo seemed to work okay at times but I'm not yet convinced.
- Swallow: been a great servant, but not handling the change of position. Loss today may see him dropped.
- Backline: Functioned a lot better than previous weeks.
- Turner: Solid
- Simpkin: Glimpses, but a long way off. Going to be a star.

We took the reigning premier coming off a surprise loss within a couple of points, and as a team no longer rely on old timers.
It isn't all bitter.

Edit: Not wishing to celebrate injuries if there is one, but I could watch travis clokes getting cleaned up all day.

Umps were fine. Only bad decisions were the deliberate out of bounds and the ruck free kick. We lost this game; the players, captain and coach are responsible. If we could kick and had a plan to defend on transition then we would have won by 5 goals. It's utterly pathetic to attempt to shift the blame.

Cunners easily our best, followed by Brown. Simpkin showed plenty. Liked Mullett's and Williams games as well. Garner promising despite butchering the footy.

Ziebell a hack, Swallow finished, Atley still a potato, Thompson solid, but still done and no role in our future. Thomas terrible, which is a shame.
