Sweep or 5 were always the most likely scenarios. Cleveland have had their chances to extend the series though. Lost game one despitr an all timer from Lebron and somehow lost game 3 when Steph and Klay went 7-27 between then.

Thank god for Houston who rescued an otherwise boring post season. Warriors with KD are 28-3 against everyone else in the playoffs. Amazing that Houston was able to push them to 7.

Who gets finals MVP? LeBron won't get it in a sweep, think Steph's poor game 3 will cost him so I think we're looking at back to back KD's.

Houston was fav but out of running apparently. Wouldn’t mind if 76ers pulled it off. Almost impossible to see him staying.

What front office hasn't been absolutely ripped off by Danny ainge at this point?

Philly aren't exactly a beacon of professionalism in that area either.

I dont think thats entirely true. Phili fleeced Sacramento in the Stauskas deal, turned MCW into a first rounder, same with Nerlens Noel, they own all of their first rnd picks moving forward (and a shitload of seconds). Redick, Ilyasova and Bellinelli were excellent signings.

You could argue that they botched Okafors value but that hasnt come back to hurt them. They probably paid overs to get Fultz considering how good Tatum has been but its only been one year. Fultz is a special talent.

A lot of teams would love to be in their position right now.

Noel was the get-back after trading out an all star holiday. Sure they sold high in that case, but they got nothing out of Noel whatsoever. Okafor is one of the clearer draft busts in recent memory, and Fultz hasn't shown anything to suggest his game will translate. He lacks quickness and bounce against NBA athletes at the moment and is completely devoid of confidence to the point of it being worrisome. They needed him to come on quickly before they have to make a decision on Saric, not be a 3 year project guard.

You're right, they are in the exact same position, the difference this time though is the talent level. Simmons and Embiid are both Top 15 players already (with potential to be top 5). In a league where Plumlee's, R.Lopez, Noah, Asik, Deng, Mozgov, Lin, Turner, Crabbe, etc, etc, etc are earning north of 10 million, the worst contract they have on their books is Bayless for 8 million.

They have the potential for 2 max contracts in the off season. If they land LeBron it will have all been worth it.

Agree to disagree on Simmons, I think he is there already.

I can forgive RoCo for his play given it was his first taste of playoffs and he still managed to shoot the 3 at a better clip then guys like Harden and Dame.

I think they got what they were after during the process. Two transcendent talents, some decent role players on manageable contracts and now the cap space to land some guys who can teach these guys how to win.

Must have been so tough getting to the brink and falling just short so many times. One of the most well deserved grand slam crowns. I thought she might have missed her chance last year but she keeps bouncing back and improving. Thought Sloane Stephens was really impressive too but just ran out of gas as they game went longer.

Lakers would have to make a few changes to get him there. He's not playing in LA while the Ball's are there. All the pieces would need to fit and they'd probably need someone else along with George to come in.

Lebron will not go to a team he can't take over. He's a poisoned chalice. Lebron system is all he can play and everyone else has to fit in. All while their averages drop and they get denigrated in the media for not being enough help or being carried.

I'll bet Magic has told LaVar that if he messes with what the Lakers are trying to do it is the surest way to have his son traded to another team in an instant. And if LeBron and another All-Star are to come to LA, then Lonzo may well be traded anyway.

An argument can be made that at the very least LA has historically had form signing free agents and building championship squads.
