With Darling likely to be cut from WCE, and the Eagles needing to replace Kennedy as well, imagine the coin Mitch Georgiades could be on in 2023.

They have Oscar Allen being the heir apparent to JK, but I agree they will go after Mitch had.

Port's rebuild could be epic fun.

Maybe logan mcdonald might be the one if he remains unsigned past this year. If WCE finish bottom 4 say, that pick for mcdonald might be in the hitting zone

Justice.

Will be interesting if he receives lifetime ban from all AFL codes at all levels and even attending matches too.

A suburban AFL player has been jailed for two years after a punch behind the play of an Adelaide football grand final.

The Advertiser reported that on Monday, 34-year-old Mark Thomas Alan Harrison would be jailed for one year and 10 months with a non-parole period of 11 months and one week for the attack.

I’m assuming he’s long been deregistered. Amateur leagues tend to have an extremely dim view on this sort of behaviour.

Where did this Georgiades rumour come from? Did he re-sign not that long ago?
Don't think so.

It's been rumoured for a while he wants to home.

... but who knows whether he does.

May depend on their respective performances this year.

True, they may have also have been waiting for this to go through the court system before taking even further action.

These kind of thugish coward acts need to attract a lifetime ban for the code be it playing, participating or attending.

Its also another way to be a deterrent. ie Youre giving up not only your freedom, but your love/passion/following for the sport.

I know it’s been around for awhile, but who started it? The adelaide board is the only place I’ve seen it .

Yes, deserved.
As an aside, the AFL's propaganda marketing unit must be proud of their efforts to rename the sport in their image.
It's been happening for years now, but the media and others still can't differentiate between the sport and one of its leagues.

Every year there is one team that is a surprise slider or slides worse than expected.

Mine is Geelong. The squad is horrendously unbalanced and old, relying on too few. There list shows the lack of drafting in recent years in favour of trades.

My prediction is between 10th - 14th. They will win enough games at home but be a disaster interstate and in their home games in Melbourne. If Danger goes down with an injury they will be in serious trouble.

West Coast as well, no Darling and Kennedy not getting younger.

Are we finally going to start seeing some questions asked about the dodgy deals that the AFL let slide through? It strikes me as a little obvious that whenever a slightly dodgy deal favours a Victorian club, it seems to get through. BUT, should a non-Victorian club benefit, the rules are suddenly very strict.

Compare the trades of B Crouch and Daniher. On more than one occasion, our suggested deals were blocked. Yet the Daniher deal, which was manipulated to ensure a high draft pick for Essendon, was let through. At the time many thought it was a bit stinky. Now it is proven to be the case.

I'm not sure why, but we seem to be always on the end of the rules being a sticking point.

Remember when Geelong didn't have any picks left to trade according to the rules, but the rules were suddenly changed? Or the clearly dodgy Collingwood fire sale that absolutely had nothing to with clear salary cap breeches? Or when we couldn't make a trade with Melbourne last year because the trade included picks already traded? In that instance the rule was to protect against FS pick manipulations, which clearly didn't apply in this case, but NO, rules must be adhered to.

It's shit like this we need to grow a set and start speaking out about. If we keep letting it slide, the AFL will keep on hitting us. It won't be until we point out that we aren't going to sit quietly by and let this happen, that we will see some benefits come our way.
We got screwed over twice in the Crouch deals. Yet Brisbane and Essendon pull a worse manipulation and the AFL ticked it off with no issue. It stinks.

This has been predicted every year for about 4 years now.

Good to see Damien Barrett read my post from last Friday
A cynic might say this is a convenient extension of a 3 year contract that was front ended to secure a first round compo pick and ensure no matching occurred, and the agreement was actually always a 5 year deal.

FA deals shouldn't be able to be extended / changed until the last year of the contract IMO.

Jed Anderson back training after getting jabbed

Watching the Essendon v Bulldogs trial and Jake Kelly got the switch kick, could have kept running there were free Essendon players up the line but he stopped did the slow it down motion with his hand and then kicked it sideways. I laughed out loud and just said never change.

Classic Kelly, can't wait for Essendon fans to realise how much he holds up play.

We joined the VFL. It is still the VFL
Deals like that are examples why.

As if we need any further evidence, but check out the AFL website:
Now why would the AFL website list VFL matches? Why not SANFL? WAFL? TFL? Doesn't the VFL have their own website for this??
