I like to think we wouldn't be so petty about 91 if we'd gone (unjustly) cupless in the 90's. They weren't good enough on the day. No one remembers the loser.

To be fair, many of our threads end up heading in the same direction.

We are both as insecure as each other at this point in time.

2016 sponsorship aside, Lamb instead of safe bet Blakely was a minor faux pas but some Freo fans on here seem to be making it out to be Tambling-esque, which is just plain dumb.

Will be funny in a few years time if Perth or even freo get another team in the comp and people will try put down the current scorchers side as the state team. At the end of the day scorchers have had success little known internationals like arfat, willey, thomas and carberry, bresnan and even bell at the end of his career aint superstar. we also havent had guys like M.Marsh or S.Marsh regularly available during the period. what makes this win even more special is that alot wrote them off at the start of the year cause they had genuine guns like Paris, NCN, behrendorff out with injury and Hogg gone to Melbourne.

Players have to pass a post-it to the chair ump telling them what shots they're going to play in the rally before it begins.
If you're serving and you hit the ball out of bounds, your opponent gets to serve out the game.
You don't have to wait for your opponent to get back in position before serving again.
Fireworks, loud music and cheerleaders after every point (fan engagement).
Draft and free agency for the Davis Cup.
The ball slows down when it bounces - abolish the requirement for the ball to land in court to speed the game up, thus slowing it down.
Cameras on the ballkids' hats, mic up the players (volume down on Sharapova?).
Make Hawkeye low-def so you're still not sure whether the ball was in or not.
Add developing markets to Davis Cup (North Korea = untapped market), funnel large sums there to promote tennis until successful and guarantee profit.
More sponsorships ("That chair overrule brought to you by Wite-Out.")
Change rules mid-tournament.
Substitute rule to prevent injury-related forfeits.
Expand the size of the court so that trick shots are easier to land.
Bring back woodern racquets!
Hold all matchfixing and PED hearings in private - exonerate accused but punish them for 'unrelated administrative issues', allow them to serve suspensions in offseason.
