Is this a yellow peril incident or not. The fact that this has come to attention due to a reporter with Asian origin having being offender, I think it's probably a fair debate.

I'm In the camp it's a tad stupid but it can be debated that the term originated after the English batsmen got out to a a West Indian player of Chinese origin and said 'Fancy being out to a bloody Chinaman!’, to another West Indian cricketer as he got. People who view the term racsit probably view believe that he used it as an insult.

Because in the 1930's there would have been such an abundance of Chinese cricketers - it would have been a source of bemusement for a cricketer to be dismissed by a chinaman

Further, the term is applied to any left arm wrist spinner whatever their nationality so why bring it up now just because in this instance it's an Indian player

If anything I see it as an endearing term and describes what is an unusual and often mystifying form of bowling rather well. Exotic almost

Or are people going to start claiming that describing stuff from the orient as exotic is racist as well

I agree but I think the fact that project pulled it out shows how ridiculous it is. It's the most of show ever and they basically have Steve price on it so they can take the piss out of views and make viewers outraged by his opinions. It's one show I have stopped watching for a while now.

We can only hope but from what I've seen he's settled in at port and likes it there so doubtful he'll come back
