To be fair, at least one poster definitely and some others maybe, were brought over here because posts from the Freo board were quoted on here without their username being removed

Pardon the intrusion , I don't see any sense going onto opposition boards and commenting on negative posts . Or even liking posts that get proven to be way of the mark. Although I must admit I did see a lot of likes on the who is closer to a premiership thread at the end of 2018 From the eagles on Freo posts .
There are some that feel the need to go on other boards and stir the pot , When I first joined this forum I made the mistake of the thinking the Oppo thread was fair game . I now know better and steer clear of any comment on any Oppo boards that are argumentative.

Although I must admit I did see a lot of likes on the who is closer to a premiership thread at the end of 2018 From the eagles on Freo posts .

I made the mistake once of going to the freo board.
I asked a genuine question in a polite manner as I was curious.
It was when Sumich was applying for the freo coaching gig. It was something along the lines of 'Why do you hate Sumich so much? He is a freo product and a current assistant. Yes he played for WCE, but at the time the dockers didn't exist, so you can hardly blame him for that. Why do you all hate him so much? Is there a background?'

The responses I got were along the lines of...
Who do you think you are, coming here and lording your superior attitude over us.
What gives you the right to come on this board and ask questions.
Go away and die. (Literally, go away and die)

And the response from the mods? You're a troll, you get a BF wide ban.

It’s a game, we’re rivals, we hate it eachother and it‘s fun!
Some people just take a game of sport waaayyyyy to seriously and actually fight and hate over it Beats me.

I can’t wish you luck coz then I’d have to leave my life, my family, my history and everything I’ve ever known. But I can wish for another exciting and mad weekend of footy like we just had and for that I say God Speed!

Similar experience on the geelong board. I don't hate any club but some of the crew on their board and their mods ?

It's because of the behaviour of previous dickheads from our board that have gone over to other boards and done subtle trolls so now most boards are automatically defensive to opposition supporters.

Doesn't help that almost every Fremantle supporter on this site has a chip on their shoulder regarding West Coast (and in general) too. Legit cannot imagine being more obsessed with another footy team than my own like they are with the Eagles.

In their partial defence, at least one of the posters venturing here was quoted by a particular poster without removing the tags (and thus they got notified to come here by BigFooty). That's a big no-no - if you want to quote from rival team boards, you remove the tag.

It doesn't excuse those who weren't tagged in the first place, and I think they got suspended as a result. Massive inferiority complex that they come here directly after the final siren to gloat.

eh. IMO it was somewhat justified in this occasion given the backslaps going on during Q1. Normally I’d agree but extenuating circumstances in this case imo

Oh reading threads on other boards after games like that is part of what keeps this site going, but if you post expecting anything other than being told to **** off and a ban, that's on you.

Everything about the game was hilarious, people are too precious, especially if they're like 'lol Freo suck' during the 6 goals to nothing start, fap over the likes and laughs from fellow Eagles fans, then have a big old sook if some random Freo fan clicks like or laugh on the same post after the game.

Hate the campaigners, and hope Collingwood break them so hard they crash down the ladder next year, but it was a hell of a comeback. I'd be gloating too.

Yeah they're a pretty soft bunch over there. Been given temp bans for just asking legit questions in the past.

You only have to look as far as all the "troll-like" notifications being flagged in this thread from Docker supporters over the last couple of days. If we did that in their game day thread after a finals loss their mod team would go apesh*t.
