I think he's citing the fact we were better than the Giants 3 times in direct match ups, and finished higher, as objective evidence that our players were better (or at least as good, to not warrant envy).

I placed some $$$$ on them for the flag & they move the ball so well.

But we weren't. We got very lucky beating them in the Final off the back of a ridiculous performance from Heeney, and those regular season games were maybe the first two comfortable wins we've had against them in some time. Or are we seriously trying to argue that the same group of players are some seasons suddenly better players than ours and sometimes suddenly worse players than ours off the back of a direct h2h record? As if there aren't so many other factors go into deciding the result of an individual game?

The point wasn't that the Giants as a club/team are better than us, it was that those individual names would walk into our side which was absolutely right.

I mean sure you can pick good players from any team that would be in another teams 22. I fail to see an actual point here. You could name a bunch from ours that would walk into theirs.

Great so we agree that the original post was fine and Caesar using the team results to rubbish that claim was silly.

GWS have a well balanced defence. Taylor is their pillar. Buckley and Himmelberg can lock down but also intercept. Idun does their medium / small lock down. Ash and Whitfield both elite runners and beautiful kicks.
