Ahhhhhh! Geeze we must be in trouble this week! If Daniel Schell gets a game - Sydney will be @#$%ing themselves - I know I am at the thought of him getting a game. Please let Rutten or Hentschell get a go! I couldn't handle Mr "softy" Schell playing!

By the way look for Roo's new "do". He has gone blonde by all accounts - I wonder if it is true that blondes have more fun? lets hope he plays well on Sunday!

Yeah totally agree K - I hope they give Hentschel his debut. Didn't know about Roo, but reckon it is a good omen as I went blonde yesterday too (& planning to have plenty of fun in Sydney the next week!)

have fun in Sydney Kane - make sure you and the boys bring home the 4 points.

I reckon Roo is a bit of a trend setter - he likes to follow the latest crazes - remember the David Beckham inspired Fauxhawk style he had last year? I caught a glimpse on the news and it looks ok to me!

Can't picture it myself. I'm gonna have to see it to believe it!

Don't know if it was any Crows supporters on these boards but before the start of last season Schell was portrayed as the great new hope for the crows and the answer to all their forward problems.

Schell deserves another chance IMO.

Perhaps Roo is going for the Brownlow this year?

Thats exactly what I said somewhere else on this board. As long as he plays well for us on the weekend I don't really care if he goes green. He does look a bit "unusual".

As for Schell, I ahve said somewhere before that he has talent. He is a decent grab and alright kick but he doesn't have the right attitude. He has played 2 good games for us last year.

Against Sydney in RD3, when Stevens got polaxed Schell was thrown to CHF and he competed very well. Presented himself all day long, grabbed 7 strong marks (5 contested), kicked a goal and brought the ball to the ground for our smalls.

He also played well against Brisbane in RD9. He took some good marks and kicked 4 goals. That night he took on one of the best FBs in business and beat him fair and square. Mal Michael is stronger, faster and more experienced than Schell yet he beat him.

If he can produce his best on consistent basis he would be a good player. He needs to work on his defensive side of game and improve imensly below knees. He needs to be stronger going for his marks and improve his set shot and his kicking distance. Anything further than 40 meters is a worry for him.

ok, ok, ok - I will give him one more go  but in all reality he is back up for a back up player so when he does get a go the pressure is on.

As for Roo, I didn't think of the Brownlow possability! Look at past winners Crawford, Woewodin & Akamanis - all blondes - hmmmm maybe Macca should follow Roo's lead! :D :D

He looked absolutely shocking today. He looked lost in the backlines and didn't do anything when moved up forward. First in line to get dropped for the West Coast game even if Carey doesn't come back in.

He was very very ordinary.

You are being very very kind. He missed a sitter at full back and we were very lucky Sydney didn't score from that mistake. His kick out from defence did everything but hit a target and his kick on goal was a shocker. He was lucky to register a behind. Fair dinkum this guy is no good.

Is it just me or has Perrie gone missing?????? He is starting to play as Perrie of old.

I dunno why he was even considered in the first place. I think he showed last year that he may be a fairly dominant player at SANFL level, but at AFL level he just has no clue and struggles to get a kick, let alone reproduce anything like his SANFL form.

Hentschel had a bit of a shocker as well...tho it was his first game.

Could not agree more. I'd still give him another week.

He did, but as you said it was his 1st game and he will learn from that. He still is a very talented player that will come good in time.

Theres no doubt that he will become a fantastic player in time. Even tho hes hardly had a go, hes close to my favourite non Port player (with Didak, Buckley and S Black). I reckon he will be a star in a few years time.

I think hes being played a bit too early....before he is ready for the step up.

I'm sure you're right on this one. I was hoping that we wouldn't have to bring him in until he was on the peak of several good games on the trot at SANFL level - for confidence reasons.

He looked almost apologetic for being out there today.

He'll be good with time though.

He IS playing like the Perrie of old. Not an ounce of thought in his game. How many times in the past 2 weeks has he made a fast break and lead from his opponent - not too often. This was his strength in the pre-season and game 1.

A couple more like the last 2 and it'll be bye bye Perrie.
