I must admit that I agree here, he quite clearly rose to God status, calling him a legend is just silly.

I hoped that no one would take the holy number 23 and I was a little disappointed when I found out that Mayne was going to wear it. It's a hell of a change of scenery for 23, from the quiet religious defender to the loudmouthed, showy, young upstart forward. But after reading what Mayne said about taking it I warmed to the idea. He showed the great man a lot of respect and he only took the number because he thought Shane was the bee's knees. Good on him, I'm starting to take more of a liking to this lad.

Now he just needs to get a haircut. Badly. Go the number 2 or 3 all over as a tribute to Parks, young Chris.
